Hi. I found this in my dad’s stuff and have looked it up but can’t find anything about it. It says Audiophile Sound Systems Model 3.2 on the front. Can anyone give me some more information about the brand or what it is? Thank you!

What an interesting looking unit. If that's a brand I can't say I've heard of it, but wonder if it's just a prototype, or some sort of diy project. In any case my google-fu was no better than yours. Good luck....

It's a car stereo amplifier- the terminals at the right show 12V, Gnd and Rem, which stands for 'remote', as in, remote turn on lead from a head unit. Generally, these aren't used in consumer systems because they need to be connected to a battery and chargers that can provide sufficient current are very expensive. The way around that is to use the system and monitor the state of the battery or batteries to prevent excessive discharge. While it could operate in Class D mode, it still needs a DC voltage/current source.

Never even thought of car stuff....but makes more sense that way! :)

Find a way to remove the shell and see the brand/model of the amplifier.

Thanks everyone! This is really helpful. I would never have thought it would be for a car but that does make sense. I will try and work out how to remove the case and find a manufacturer.
Do people still want these? I don’t really want to throw it away, especially as it is really nice.

Might be from these guys...
That is it! The text is exactly the same. Thank you for this, it's really good to know what it is and they are so beautiful for car parts!!
