right, this is all on Biden big guy? Want to rethink that? This was set in motion by trump and it's shame you are blinded and can't see that. His plan was to leave in May, Biden extended it. If you think this would have been any different since with orange clown you are fooling yourself.

What happened to America First? Was that only a mantra for magats? Of course nuts are going to blame Biden for trying to make the opposing political party happy by fulfilling their wishes.

Get your head out of your ass, nowhere did I say this was all on Biden ! But if you don't think his recent screw ups have exacerbated the situation you're nuts !!

Citing that so-called news web page as a credible source seriously damages your credibility here.

If you want to point a finger at the original cluster f**k, go back further than February 2020 when Trump 'made a deal' with the Taliban to pull out by May 2021. Go back the fall of 2001 when W & Cheney chose to invade Afghanistan without a plan of what they would do there. At the time, Cheney owned considerable shares in Haliburton/Bechtel and refused to sell them or put them in a blind trust. The Pentagon awarded a number of large dollar contracts to Haliburton – NO BID CONTRACTS – that significantly enriched Cheney. That was the only plan they had.

Exactly, they love being lied to and they love propaganda. It's actually hilarious. The fake news crowd loves fake news, it's beyond ironic.

nothing hilarious with respect to what is happening in Afghanistan.

So I suppose it's fake news that Joe is sending 6000 troops back in ? Was it fake news what Joe said back in early July with regard to the Taliban threat before we totally withdrew ?

Listen, I voted for Joe so as to be sure we didn't have 4 more years of Trump. Yes I was fearful of his (or his handlers) capability to blunder but I hoped for the best. I just pray that resolution comes with no more American casualties .......

get off your high horse, you used the word credible. I merely put up the head line. I personally don't care what you think of the source, perhaps I should sugar coat it for you with some other, sorry .......... Not !!

no poop Sherlock, that wasn't my point, rather one of concern over the recent failures. Given what was known with those that preceded.

can you Libs ever admit that at times you 'F' as well. Yes Trump was not what a lot of us had hoped for, I just hope and pray Joe can right the ship.

Injecting a handful of objective facts into an otherwise load of blather does not bestow much credibility. I really see no alternative to withdraw from Afghanistan. That's something that Trump was somewhat right on - not sure about the implementation though. My main concern is with all the interpreters, female teachers and judges, etc. We cannot abandon them. The troops are going there to maintain control of the airport (Canadian SOF are going there, as well) until they have evacuated as many as they can, I imagine.

Gee you seem so upset with what is going on in Afghanistan. This was inevitable, period. Whether it was Biden or Trump. Trump set this entire thing into motion by negotiating with the Taliban to pull the troops.
Everything from that poop ass website you linked to is fake news or really propaganda.

And a bunch of republicans literally voted not to protect those interpreters. The hell they are going to through is directly the republicans fault.

The Afghan government sold their own people out. They ran like cowards, but yet their people are saying, don't leave us defenseless. Really?! How many more American lives are we suppose to sacrifice for a country that doesn't want to defend themselves. 20 years,! American taxpayers paying their salaries trillions of dollars wasted! How much the world is in debt to us with policing the world? Taliban is nothing more than a bunch of drug lords backward ass people living like they were 2,000-3000 years ago. I'm sure you guys remember that United States used to back them when they were fighting Russia right? Trump this Biden that, doesn't matter, who's been supplying the Taliban with weapons? Pakistan? China? Russia? Everybody's crying around the world, the US left them poor people to die and defenseless. Far as I'm concerned they all can kiss my ass bring all our people home, our soldiers have sacrificed enough blood.

Not arguing that, merely stating that Biden was handed what he was handed and has managed to 'bungle' the final segment. Is this to be his Saigon ? Time will tell .......

In theory Binden should be one of the most qualified to handle this mess given all his prior years in Gov't. I want out of that hell hole as much as anyone. I too fully understand the humanitarian concerns as I do with the thoughts of the thousands of troops / personal we have lost over there not to mention the PTSD survivors that are amongst us.

wrong, withdrawing troops and then sending 6000 back in was inevitable ? get back on your meds ! Do you believe our military intelligence is that poor ? if so China / Russia will be eating our lunch !

Whether it was Biden or Trump. Trump set this entire thing into motion by negotiating with the Taliban to pull the troops.
again, not arguing that for crying out loud, it's the current execution that's turned into a cluster 'F' that you apparently can't see

Ok you win, Biden is awful. He worse than Jimmy Carter. Trump would have swooped in and saved the Afghan people of all the misery inMay when he was set to pull out.
Now guess what, he's the president so like I was told for 4, keep crying.

@Mikado463 You realize that, unlike Afganistan ("...shithole country..." - by Trump), Taiwan is the global capital for modern semiconductor manufacturing. A LOT of USA money is tied there (mostly with TSMC), the US nor its allies will allow China to invade Taiwan since they could stand to lose billions. Think national security interests are also heavily dependent on Taiwan.

Ah, yes, I pointed that out in post #7 above

Again, I want to believe that as well, thus my earlier post stating 'saber rattling' ............

Well I will say this, we need to build semiconductor plants here, no matter how we need to do that. We have this bullshit where industries are being crippled because of shortages.
