Well, not with JUST $1 billion. Now if I had $1 decillion, then I’ll buy all the companies and rule the world. This dream keeps on getting better and better. :D
You could buy the whole galaxy with a decillion dollars!

I think...

Isn't that a googol?

Heck with that kind of cash just buy the bands you like and have them come over to your place and play live :)

I'm still stuck on whether or not a decillion and a googol are the same...

PS, It is not! A googol is 10^100 and a decillion is only 10^60...

No, it’s not as much as a googol and definitely not as much as a googolplex. :D

But a $ decillion would definitely rule the world. :D

Who cares about a warranty with a billion dollars LOL
Had a die hard Bose customer back in the day that said stuff like this "if it breaks I'll just buy another one".

One of my many retorts to this include, but are not limited to, the following:

"Why don't you just buy two now and save yourself the trip?"
"If they break all the time, maybe consider buying good speakers instead?"

He had a sense of humor, but he was annoying. Bose 501's aren't even that great.

Nor should you try. ;)
This dude was a lost cause. It got to the point we would fight over who had to help him because he would just talk and talk and buy something, but it almost wasn't worth all the jabbering.

I saved some. We had those mandatory bose demo stations that had 5 cubes and a sub in something like 8 square feet. People would say "hear how awesome that sounds?" and the first question I asked was "is your room bigger than this?" That usually got a blank stare then they realize that yes, their room is bigger.

I would then take them to the big speaker room where we had a returned bose setup just like the one they just heard as well as a 7.1 (this is 12+ years ago) system that was an OK Klipsch line. It blew the bose out of the water and sold us a ton of sound systems.

Bose got mad at us for doing it though, but Circuit City went under like 6 months later so we didn't care much. Made us more money than Bose ever did.

When circuit city went out here at our local one they announced a going out of business sale like a week to early I was the first one in the door the next day . I was buying tv mounts that sold for 400 bucks for 60 bucks and cables of all kinds for pennies on the dollar mostly the higher end monster rca’s that sold for 80 bucks for 20 a pair . I went back the next day and they had a sign up that said a 10% off sale store wide apparently the store manager made a mistake and and started selling the store out by mistake lol anyhow I’ve still got cables of all kinds in boxes that have never been opened. The tv mount I bought was the best Omni mount they had it sold for 400 and I bought it for like 80 bucks it’s still the best mount I’ve ever seen .

Yeah, people were pissed when everything went back up to MSRP when we started the "going out of business" process. Comments like "this was cheaper before?" Me: "yep, probably should have bought it then". Didn't really have to care after we found out we had 6 months or less for our store...

Turns out our store was the top/near the top store in the company so we got all the other stores crap when they stopped selling and closed their doors. We got all sorts of random products we didn't even have SKUs for. It was hilarious how much nonsense there was. We pretty much got our pick of whatever. The liquidator was on site every day so we could just make him offers on random stuff we found. Almost bought a spool of CAT5e, but didn't need however much it was at the time.

Only thing nobody bought was the carpet. Everything else went. I still have an ancient 15" 4:3 LCD my old boss gave me. Still works with my server too.

The liquidation process was nuts.
