I don't recall why you didn't use one/need one, but if you haven't needed one so far you probably don't need one now. Some ported designs can benefit from a protective hpf below their tuning point, tho depends on your use (as to what levels/frequencies) somewhat too....

In the designing stage via calculating excursion below tuning for the most part. If you don't play content that low or loudly, you may just not run into any need. Some guys will simply need the protection if they're pushing the envelope so to speak....

I’ve got everything temporarily set up and I’m definitely noticing more extension. Gonna run Audyssey with the new ported box and go from there. Remember guys i’m disabled so everything I do is slow.lol. I will get there eventually.
