Hi All

Hope you can help. I have a system setup that im trying to add two new speakers in a bedroom. Its a simple setup and sound is playing from my amp to vc to speakers. The problem is the control does not turn the volume down. Its on at full volume no matter what I do. Its a new VC and i've tried one other so i don't think its a bad setup. The other vc speakers turn down no issues. Its just this one. I essentially have 6 sets of speakers connected to 6 channels on my amp. Its driving me crazy and i can't figure out what im doing wrong. Any help is much appreciated.

Thanks.

We are not there to examine your balls-up!

So what speakers?

What volume controls?

What sort of amp is supplying the speakers?

How did you wire them?

You need to answer all those questions in detail for us to be of any assistance to you what so ever.

Details.

Speakers: Pyle PDIW65
VC: OSD Audio 300w
AMP: Niles SI2150 connected to Russound SDB - 6.1

Wire - 16gauge wired as a simple pair. Essential left and right no other speakers on that channel.

Sorry i didn't provide that upfront. Thanks.

You did not tell me how you wired it. Your problem is that the Russound is a speaker selector with matching impedance, and your room control is an impedance matching transformer. So you have cascaded two impedance matching auto transformers. You need to ditch that OSD Audio 300. I would use a standard non matching control with a 16 ohm cursor. That will probably prevent too low an impedance. Make sure the transformer switch on those Pyle speakers is set to off. Those speakers can also be used with a 70 volt PA system, and yours is not. So make sure the switches on those speakers are set correctly.
