Fan noise is less of a problem because I can move it out of the front sound console and into a separate room - just less convenient when powering everything up. My big need is for LP and HP filters.

Thanks for the QSC DCA suggestion. I'll check into that model.

For filters, QSC have the SF-3 and the LF-3 units that are specifically designed for the DCA series amps:

Ignore some meat sticks here. Just look into the crown "cdi" series of amps.
It has every feature you could possibly ever need, it's underrated power wise and built like a tank. A true 20-30 year amp. Forget the "what does it measure" thehd $hit stains.

I run a cdi 1000 only now, to just (4) 18" subs in my ht room. No low pass filter. On good movie bass notes it is hard to breathe. Enough said.
