What streamer for Anthem STR PRE?

If the streamer decodes the MQA, the only thing the STR is doing would be ADC to DAC to run the signal through ARC. That’s how I understand it.
Your one of those guys. When I grow up I'm gonna be a hoarder too. have you seen this one?

Yes acoustic panels would help me but the bipolar towers shooting out the back actually make this place alive :) it’s my only reference point so I bet adding them would help allot but my shop shoots metal dust and plasma smoke everywhere. It’s crazy I have this high end gear in this environment but it fuels my higher end art designs. The creative side. Yes the preamp is the overpriced part of the pair. I was running a marantz av receiver and doing pre outs and I can’t say I got the extra 2k of sound by going to the str pre. I like the match up of the two and not having a the avr gear inside and the dac is really clean. But compared to the Marantz it’s not a 2k jump in sound quality for my set up. I just like the quiet background I did gain and the hook ups of wiring of it compared to the Marantz. Try calling anthem. I don’t email them. Def tech is the same way. Everyone has cut staff so emails get last in line service.

That's refreshing. Someone with an honest assessment. Every piece of equipment I’ve added or upgraded has added to the over all experience. This STR pre, not so much. So thanks I feel a little better. I do like it and may keep it but I’m gonna have to get a little somethin more. I know the mark up is pretty heavy on this unit so I’m pretty confident I can get a few panels. My Revel sound pretty awesome no matter what I plug into them

I will say the times I have contacted anthem I spoke with Upi, yes that’s his name, and they were through, even took the time to take my questions to the back room engineers that we don’t get to access and got detailed answers for me. Also I ran three dedicated new copper runs from my breaker box with true 20 amp outlets to feed these hungry components. No struggles for power and allows them to do their thing. I am sure my set up is very unique and there is the whole arc thing that does not recognize my tones as they bounce allot but it’s good set up for me. If I was in a proper room I would use arc and hope I didn’t experience your problems. I am not a fan of the laptop set up for music or tuning either but it’s how you get the small settings that make a difference in the correct set up. Mine is not a correct set up, it’s a wall of sound in an art studio
I wanted to let you know if you are not aware. If you are running arc, shut it off, it's not working. I was talkin with Dave, salesman, about the issues I had been having. So I stopped by the store today and brought my laptop with my measurements and showed them to Dave. He looked at it and immediately told me shut off arc, it's not working. He was aware of this but he thought the latest firmware update was gonna fix it. I guess not. Anthem is aware arc is not working correctly and they are suppose to release another update this week. I'm gonna stick with my first and now second impression of Anthem and customer service. They kinda suck. My version update is: Version 1.3.25-ef1c7ec

Needs resizing....if using W10 pc, right click on the file name, go to edit (Paint) and there's a resize option there....try 30% or so.

I can try that when I find my lost phone. but I'm pretty certain its nothing new to you since I think I sent you pics last year when I bought em. You've been a huge help btw. I was a beginner, now I'm a beginner with 1 year experience :)

So last year you were helping me with my crown and RP8000's. Today I got me a mic and were gonna start fixing my svs pb3k's with REW. This is gonna take a while. But these svs are compressing the room, I patiently wait for that sonic blast, and poof, I get a dud. So I got some issues downstairs. What have you been up to? Any new upgrades?

Yep REW is a time investment, hopefully it pays off for you. What do you mean the svs are compressing the room?

No new purchases in a while, don't need anything....

You got that right, rew is work, or doesn't work. I can't get sound out of this for the life of me.

When I say the svs are compressing the room, whats happening is the ceiling and the walls start to buckle, they make all kinds of snap crackles and pops. So i'm expecting something BIG getting ready to come out, and i get a whimper if anything. Basically I turned em up, because who doesn't like a ton of bass. Since i did that I'm having some issues. yeah, they probably just turned up to high. but I sure would like to see it. I can make all kinds of changes with the svs app but not if I don't see what they are doing.

I don't understand this rew. It sees the marantz, it sees the umik, my laptop sound card is turned on for the marantz, but nothing. I can't measure

ugh I got sound after more reading and research, you gotta set your sound card on your laptop to 24 bit 48 htz. That's enough for me tonight. That took 3 hours to figure out
