You're at the right place. We're pretty good at spending other folks' money here! :p

We're also pretty good at helping you figure out where your money will have the most impact too. You seem pretty open to advice. It'll be fun seeing where you end up all said and done. Have fun and enjoy the process!
Hahaha sounds great
Thank you ! . I am very busy right now with work , currently working on an oil rig.

But i am looking to purchase a second subwoofer next week.

Good morning guys

How about twin sb3000s over a single pb16ultra ?.

My dali k14 does put out a nice punch. But it still does not fill that desired sound i want.

My aim is to aquire the same effect you would hear & Feel if at a Rave concert . Or club with a decent sound system.

Also , is bigger the room better for sound and performance?

I have today off work. So i have time to shop around subs . I am also adding a new cinema screen for my projector . 120" or 150" wil be what i am going for

Twin SB-3000 will have lower output than a PB16-Ultra, especially in lower Hz. On the other hand a SB-3000 is far, far, by far easier to handle as the PB16-Ultra is huge and heavy.

There is even an AH review of the PB16-Ultra: https://www.audioholics.com/subwoofer-reviews/svs-pb16-ultra-subwoofer

Well if you want rave style, dual sb3k will be better. Especially since multiple subs can even out the response throughout the room.
A single 16 ultra will have more output below about 35hz, but this would be more important for movies more than music as with a little bit of room gain, the sb3k’s should carry most of the weight of EDM and dubstep and techno or whatever. I still prefer ported, but if form factoid important, then the smaller Sb’s should get you mostly there.

You definitely want to be looking at Ported Subs. There are specialty Subs in sealed boxes that will deliver, but you aren't likely going to be getting those delivered to you across The Pond. ;)
:D :D

Why consider SB3000 instead of PB3000 or PC3000? Size an issue?

So I reread the OP, and while I was under the impression that this was more for music, now I’m not sure. It says cinema room, and then later new screen.
In any case, I agree with Ryan to ported, and stand by my statement as such.
Considering location, I would look here.

SVS makes fine subwoofers to be sure. But if you have any issues, dealing directly with a manufacturer can be a lot better than dealing with a retailer.

Same for BK Elec which is even more local to him....curious if brexit has changed significantly dealing with XTZ?

Couldn’t say. I just know them by reputation, and afaik they’re still solid.

In my opinion you would be better off running a PAIR of PB3000s. Two PB3000s will destroy that room. You will get a cleaner response from the two 3000s at $2600 than you will a single PB16 for $2500. Run them in diagonal opposite corners.

If budget allows... run a pair of PB4000s... or a pair of PB16 ultras.

Hi mate . My room will have a 120 or 150 inch fixed screen . And wil be used for gaming and movies.

But i use my system more for music , youtube when i am getting drunk.

So its basically a multimedia room

I did find a used sb16 ultra for £1500 used condition (purchased 2019). Came from a movie house , i presume cinema. (Probably well worn)
The cost is £2500 new.

Or i just pay the £2999 for a fresh brand new pb16 ultra single subwoofer and run it with my Dali k14.

What do you guys think?

So you think Two pb 3000s will be better performance ?

I can get two pb3000s for the price of 1 single pb16 ultra

That may be a better idea!!!?

I think that a pair of PB3000s will rock that room easily and would be my choice. Don't get me wrong, I love the PB16 and your enthusiasm for big bass, but it really is overkill for your space. A pair of PB3000s are overkill too, but in all the right ways. Dual subs almost always offer better overall performance over a single.
