I was living out side of Fulton, NY for the Feb 1 storm in '66, we had 110" in three days. As for Montague, I was there snowmobiling 1/11-12/97 when they got the unofficial 24hr snowfall record, Silver Lake Colorado(1921) I believe is still recognized by NOAA as holding that record. As for the famous blizzard of '77 I was 3 years into my railroad career and stuck in a cabin south of Bflo when that one hit.
So when folks down here outside of Philly talk about winter I remind them, you can spell the word but you have no clue !
