So what game(s) did she enjoy particularly? This was a VR set?
Yes. We have an Oculus Rift. The kind that plugs into a PC. Apparently the newest wireless version is pretty on-point. Watch some YouTube reviews. I can't speak to any specific VR set being the 'best of the best', but we do like the Oculus.
I think she may have tried some Beatsaber. Likewise, just the home room area with demo tasks. I think I spent two hours just playing with Google Earth. I mean, things that aren't even games are completely amazing because of how good and fast the motion tracking is. Because I get a bit sore standing up, I ended up sitting down for a fair bit of my time using Google Earth.
If you've never tried a VR headset, it's really impressive what they are able to do. I think one of the coolest things was when a VR butterfly landed on my controller. I lifted the controller up towards my face and could look more closely as the butterfly, and rotate my hand for a better view of it... then it flew away. Casting a shadow on my hand, then onto the ground as it flew upward. Seriously, cool.
As well, they like to have edges that look down over high things. You literally do NOT want to step off the edge, even though nothing actually happens to you. It's very vertigo inspiring.
