When the title of the thread is "F'in Trump", you gotta figure it will go south fast, but sure to be a fun ride while it lasts! I'm impressed it has stayed so civil as it has!
It's pretty much harmless "going south" on a forum but in the real world things are getting ugly, and I can very well imagine that Trump can make it far worse as he starts to believe that he will loose the election or he actually lost the election but refuses to go.

Not a fan of Trump, certainly not a fan of Biden and won't vote for either of them.
"We the People"??? Ain't no "We" Canadian...
Living on the border our mall and store parking lots have been filled with cars from Canadia...buying food which is much less costly...even in the socialist state of new f'ing york...than in your home...your people also spend a fortune on our medical services because then can't get an appointment in your wonderful medical system of free care for all...as long as you don't mind waiting for months for an appointment.
Look to your own house before spitting on mine...
Not spitting on your house. Spitting in Trumps face. If you invite Trump to your house, I'll be sure not to miss his face. ;)

I have a ton of respect for the Govenor of NY State. He was logical and systematic in his approach and Trump f'ed him over for thinking and not bending over for the f?cktard. If I could, I would vote the Govenor of NY State in for the next prime minister of Canada.

Trump had the chance to do things right, especially on the COVID front but he f?cked that up royally didnt he. Charging $200 + dollars for covid tests is a crime when a large demographic of the US population CANNOT afford it. The US surpassed in deaths due to COVID and infections, every country in the G7. Thats Trump policy working its magic.

If you want to give Trump an "atta boy" for this, and increased racial tensions, thats your business. Personally I'd love to sink my foot up his ass so deep that he can see the tread of my shoe in the back of his eyes. Trump can keep the shoe.

These threads are actually interesting because over time people come out of the closet and you get to see how these members actually are in real life. They expose their real values and beliefs. Just when you thought your favorite member with over 10,000 posts and the super expensive speakers was cool, now you're not so sure.
Eh I think COVID has driven everyone out of they're minds so for a lot of people I'll give em a pass till after vaccination in 2021

That includes me by the way I know I haven't been perfect on here

It's hard to go to work everyday and deal with acute psychiatric care and go home and isolate

Even tho they lifted restrictions I treat myself as infected because I work with high risk I don't want to infect nobody

So I go home and don't go out except for groceries

My family is not here right now I don't want to put them at risk

So all this isolation is just I know it's FUGGIN with me a bit

So I'm sure I haven't always been the most agreeable poster around here sometimes

I try to give others the same pass

Apparently, you have never been in the position of not wanting either candidate- nobody has to vote for either if they aren't acceptable.
Sorry for the delayed response. Been dealing with the Excitable Boy, my grandson, today. If I could only synthesize his energy level, I’d be a millionaire. :D

I’ve been in that position ... properly bent over ... in every presidential election.

C’mon dude … I’m assuming you’re a dude and not a dudette … has anybody ever been truly happy voting in annnny presidential election? I haven’t and I’ve voted in every local/state/national election since 1973.

My first presidential election was in 1976, Carter vs. Ford, just missing another stink-a-roo in 1972, with McGovern vs. Nixon. Not much of a choice as far as I was concerned but I did my civic duty, held my nose and voted for Carter.

As Honore De Balzac said … I’m paraphrasing … ‘behind every great fortune, lies a great crime’. Same goes for politics as far as I’m concerned. Occupational hazard you might say.

Be it personal flaws or policy differences; the perfect candidate doesn’t or ever existed in any presidential election. True?

I’ll start.

I’m voting for ‘ol Uncle Joe who’s a moving kind-a slow … Petticoat Junction reference … and Kamala Harris.

Of course if you believe in the sanctity of the voting booth & your conscience or it’s none of my/our business or you’re not voting in this upcoming election, just say so.

No big whup. Or I hope not. :D

I'm not looking for perfect- that doesn't exist.

Used to be that someone's vote was private, but with FB and the other social media cesspools, people are too interested in telling the world things it never asked for, isn't better off knowing and can't be completely redacted.

I like the Pettycoat Junction thing. Probably better than if he acted like Grandpa Addams.

Nevertheless, some posters do while still making noises about "personal responsibility", which makes me snicker a little as this must be the very definition of an oxymoron.

Another trend is that some posters try to pass themselves as NeverTrumpers and always has been, but a quick glance through some Mueller threads should dispel that. Or they make some pious noises about both sides having equal bad candidates so they can continue voting as they always have.
Another veiled reference- how sneaky. I never said I was a Never Trumper but you seem to be unable to come to terms with that. The candidates aren't equally bad, either.

Do you really disagree that people should be more responsible, or should the nanny state clean up the mess from everyone?

I saw a headline this morning that he said he'll seek a third term "because they spied on me". Someone needs to explain to him that we have an amendment forbidding anyone holding the office for more than two terms but I don't think it would do any good.

Same question applies as to everything else though.... who's going to stop him?

He could seek a third term, but the Constitution doesn't allow him holding office for a third time. I doubt the House would go along with repealing the 22nd just because the Senate might try, so that wouldn't happen right now. He can't very well announce Martial Law or send in the military because that requires Congressional approval and he doesn't own Congress. It's not going to happen. Nobody with a functioning brain would allow it.

I think you would be surprised/amazed/disappointed/disgusted by what American schools DON'T teach. I can't find words for how you would react if you knew how little some American students retain.

Yep. It doesn't help that the current administration is trying to make it even worse. Never thought I'd consider sending my kids to private school, but I also don't want them to be morons. I already plan on teaching them things the schools don't (that's what good parents should do, but sadly that apparently isn't the norm) so they don't come out of school without knowledge of the real world. It is going to be very interesting with them at home for the first 9 weeks since there is no telling if the schools will actually stay open for the year.

Regardless of what The Bunker Boy of Pennsylvania Ave. says, the 20th Amendment to the US Constitution clearly says (in section 1) that January 20, at noon is the start-finish date for the 4-year term of both the President and Vice President.

The Constitution also has nothing to say about a candidate conceding, or failing to concede, the results of an national election.

If Bunker Boy chooses to deny the results of an election he looses, on January 20, 2021 at noon, he is in direct violation of the Constitution if he tries to remain in power.

Just a hypothetical...suppose he loses the election, but refuses to accept the results, doesn't initiate the process of handing over the reins and refuses to vacate the WH next January 20th. Can the President-elect simply instruct the Secret Service to evict his a$$, or will it require a court case to resolve it?

We could always send in Canada's toughest fighting* force to make him leave the white house, eh?
