The downside of being an audiophile is you are always looking for something new and never satisfied.

I recently bought Olin Ross OR703 Tower speaker pair from Facebook market place for $15, I need to fix the connector flag posts on both of them.

Was wondering if anyone has any experience with these speakers. If they are crap , I might bite the bullet and donate a Salvation army.

TIA

Never heard of them but what's a connector flag post?

And when I do search for Olin Ross seems they could be white van speakers....

Typical speaker connectors include binding posts or spring clips....you can buy new ones at parts-express.com but may not be worth it.

Uh oh...

At least he's only out 15 bucks! We've seen so, so much worse.

I doubt they're worth the price of the binding posts. They're the furthest from any kind of "audiophile speaker" I'd want. We see folks fall for that scam for multiple 100s of dollars so you really got off pretty easy. I doubt there's even one redeeming quality with those.

Those speakers are total junk and were part of a world wide scam out of China.

It would be an insult to even give them to the Salvation Army.

Be very careful connecting those, as they may ruin your amp. My advice is to junk them and not risk connecting them to anything. Someone may have destroyed the connectors for a very good reason. Do not tempt fate!

I do note that this post downgrades the status of an audiophile lower than I have yet encountered. It is nice to know it has descended to guys buying $15.00 speakers to improve their systems. This is truly hilarious, and makes this post an absolute classic to which we should mark, and continue to refer. This is Audiophoolery taken to an extreme!.

Hey, better to pay $15 for junk than $1500 for snake oil!
