Plasma tv ? Vs led

I saw a 42 inch plasma at goodwill screen in good condition but lowest I could talk manager down was to $40
Is this a good deal any advantage over a 4k led tv? Should I bring a Blu-ray’s player of my own to test it out???

Is it worth the effort of going back and buying it ?
Contrast ratio is like way better then my light bleeding led .

If there is nothing wrong with it, black levels should be superior. I still use a 1080p pioneer elite in the main room and have no need to upgrade it yet. For the price, get it and throw it away if it is fubar.

There is no LED around 4K or not than can compare with a plasma TV. That TV is going cheap. People are prepared to pay a premium for plasma TVs on the used market for good reason. Panasonic TVs are reliable Samsungs are not.

I have noted you have a perverse tendency to be attracted to absolute junk. If this TV is working it is not junk. May be that will cause you to generate an antipathy to it!

So if it’s a good movie tv and works I’ll definitely pull the trigger as this is the exact model of plasma I have been looking for for years . I simply did not have enough space in my car at the time to decide if I was going to get it .

Mind of makes me feel dumb going for hdtv crt TVs but ehh those are useful for retro gaming . And stuff
It’s just hard I gotta find a way to move the crt tv that’s been in my car for a week or two upstairs. Just to fit another tv in my car .
Or how to explain to my parents why I need a3rd tv . Say my lcd and led suck ?

Do they tvs get more damage when goodwill adopts them for free and sells them ?

I was told by someone laying them flat damages the pixels but I don’t see how that’s even possible in a plasma TV????

Yes. All the plasma fluid runs to one side of each pixel. Then you need 3D glasses to view it.

Yeah that’s cool my led tv sucks for dark films I should hook it up downstairs and use it for cable and use plasma for movies .
