I have no experience with the SVS.

But, I own the F15HP and it is a beast!

My bro-in-law owns the FV15HP, and it is an even bigger beast!

I was looking at these two, you should also consider the PSA V1811. I ended up buying the V1510 my living room isn't that big and it's amazing and came under budget.

Between those two I'd opt for the FV15HP. I think you'd have to move up to the PB4000 to compare effectively but then there's a price gap.

I was looking at the F15HP earlier when my Epik died. I ended up getting a SB4000 on sale and I am very happy with it.

The FV15HP is a better sub. I would put it ahead of the SVS and the PSA V1811 which I have owned.

115# shipping weight?
Pfaw!
That’s nothing. Just remember to stretch first.

I free lifted one of my x-13s in its case! :D

(Granted, I also said somewhere on this forum that it was perhaps the stupidest thing I've ever done, would never do it again, and would probably have destroyed my back if I had tried twisting/stepping/etc... but c'mon! Who's keeping track?)

How would you compare the JTR cap 1200XS to the FV15HP? Jtr is blowing them out for$1399 IIRC

At that price that sub is a great buy. If you are more HT than music I would get the JTR at that close out price. If you are more music then stick with rythmik.

Yeah I agree.
Curious to know your reasoning for considering one sub over the other to be better for music vs HT, here? I've no experience with either company, but their reputations are both outstanding. Moreover, JTRs gear is considered by many to be a step up from the more widely known ID companies... more on par with Seaton Sound, Deep Sea, and perhaps even Funk.
If a Speaker or Subwoofer is well designed and capable of producing high quality sound, why does it matter whether that sound is "music" or "HT"?
