I would say the A2060 for $750 w/ free shipping.

Do they allow returns?

In general the 3000 series have a little more power (150W vs 140W). Both have 9Ch internal amps, but the 3000 series can Process 11Ch (but will need 2Ch external amp for 11Ch).

So the 2000 can decode Atmos 5.2.4 and the 3000 can decode Atmos 7.2.4.

So if you want 7.2.4, then get the 3000 series (but need to add a 2Ch amp).

If you want 5.2.4 or 7.2.2, then get the 2000 series.

Onkyo 830 and pioneer lx503 are amazing bang for the buck if you want 11ch for $450-$500
If not I’d lean toward the 2000 series Yamaha.

If you compare the the 3060 to the 3080, the differences are as follows:
3080 - ESS SABRE PRO Premier DAC™ES9026PRO (for main 7 channels) , 3060 - ESS SABRE32™Ultra DAC (for main 7 channels)

The 3080 also gets surround AI, the ability to hookup wireless surround speakers with MusicCast, and balanced inputs. No other real differences.

I paid 2k for my 3060. If I had the chance to get a two year old flagship receiver for less then a grand, I'd jump all over it. So my vote would be for the 3060.

Yeah, I could easily be convinced to vote for the flagship model 3060 for $900 + shipping. :D

Sucks how? Follow their terms and they will too; if the goods are defective they'll hold up their end, but they don't accept simple changes of mind without restocking fees. You can even find the owner of A4L over in some of the FB audio groups for home theater.

If i have a problem do i go thru Yamaha? It says an 18 month warranty. Does that mean Yamaha will fix my receiver if something goes wrong in 18 months or does A4L take care of it?

A4L only offers the terms they offer...read them so you're sure to understand them. Basically beyond the free exchange/return period for defects (30 days) A4L is out of it essentially and you'd deal with the warranty. You might note that some credit cards extend the warranty a year (mine does).

So you know you can return in 30 days for defects? Where is this info on their website? That would be great if my credit card does that as well!

Yes, in your other thread I mentioned I had two bad refurbs in a row...the first one went almost immediately, the second one they gave me a couple days extra, think it went kaput on the 32nd day? They were professional as was I and had no issues. Scroll to the bottom of their home screen and click on "return policy" and "terms and conditions".

No, mine were Denons. Back then don't think they even carried Yamaha.
