I have a Sony STR-DN1060 receiver and would like to install a Behringer FBQ1502HD equalizer and a Behringer Virtualizer FX2000. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated! thank you

Dont think you can with that unit unless it's just for a powered subwoofer.

As Everett says, that type of receiver will not work except on the sub with that type of gear. You need tape/processor loops that are generally not available in avrs like the Sony 1060 (mostly due DRM concerns by content owners). If you had an avr with a full set of pre-outs you could insert such units between the pre-outs and the amps, but the 1060 only has a sub pre-out.

Thank you. Any thoughts on the TX -NR 686?

Sure... Just a man area. Designated room that will be primarily for listening to music. Will have T.V. Also but not really a theater. My speakers are Klipsch. Floor , center , bookshelf and 1 subwoofer. Thank you

But what is the reason for the EQ? Typically most only EQ below 200hz in the bass region as it is what affected by your room, so we do it with subs.

Honestly there is no reason for the eq and virtualizer other than I have. Figure now I will have to replace the Sony receiver with one that will allow for more components? Not really looking for home theater. Also keep in mind I’m not an A.V. Guy so I have very little knowledge. Thanks

Adding components will degrade the sound somewhat and also increase risk of hissing from the tweeters. Going separates to accomodate the external EQ will cost more for the same quality, and quite a lot more fast for better.

Those two Behringer items are meant to be used with DJ or smaller pro sound gear, not home audio. Although it may be possible to hook them up with some other home theater AVRs, but not your Sony, they are likely to introduce more problems than they can solve. If I were you, I'd send them back.
