Hi,
I am slowly building my HT and have a decent 3.1 setup now with the denon 1400H, Infinity towers(LR), Infinity center and a SVS SB12-NSD. I would like to add surround speakers but the room is open and not symmetrical. Please see the picture of the room. I am considering adding surround speakers in the ceiling to complete my 7.1 setup. I know that they are not ideal but I have limited options. I have little kids so would like to avoid speakers on stands if possible.

Thanks,
Amit

Looks like you got enough room on the right to put one in the wall and you could make that column on the left bigger to do the same

In wall speakers might be a challenge to run the wire to make it look clean, unless you plan on running the wire and painting it the same wall color to hide it.

Maybe look into a wireless speaker setup as they are improving as time passes. When they first came out they were not that great, but they continue to get better. Infinity has some wireless option and Klipsch has some wireless options as well.

They have got much better but I would accept the challenge and do it right
