I was able to get the 3100es for $1100 so I went with it.

Let’s see how it goes.

$1100 for ATMOS 5.1.2.

The Yamaha RX-A2070 new on Amazon is $1095 with ATMOS 5.1.4.

The Sony does have 5YR warranty vs 3YR.

Did you buy the Sony brand new?

The Sony 3100ES can process ATMOS 5.1.4, but you just need to add a 2Ch external amp since it only has 7CH of internal amps.

And if 5.1.2 is all you will need, then you are set.

It should sound great.

Yeah..I think I’ll be fine. I have Emotiva amp if I need it.
