OK, I give up. What do the murder rates in two cities in two different countries have to do with the left's agenda?

And regarding your last statement, Trump has done good for a lot of people:

- Steel companies
- Aluminum companies
- Oil companies (by pulling out of the Iran deal he caused oil prices to go up)
- Defense contractors
- Investment bankers (the carried interest loophole)
- Attorneys and CPA (more business for figuring out how to take advantage of the new corporate tax rates for pass-through companies)
- Fox News

For me, a big fat net tax increase.
That one was more poking fun, as most 'anti trump' tend to ignore what's going on unless it helps their argument or opinion.
My gripe with the trump presidency is either 'you' hate him or 'you' dont. It has nothing to do with what is, or what is not, being done. For the left It's not about supporting accomplishments, only faults. For the right, there are no faults. (This is what I've noticed so far throughout this presidency) there seems to be a very small population that dislikes the guy but who will also support him as the sitting president. The last election was nothing more than a game to most. 'Their' team lost and they cried, needed time off of work, had to sit out of classes, we allowed kids to walk out of school....seriously...WTF. 'We' won, rubbed it in the opponent's faces like a bunch of 10yr olds, thee most unsportsmanlike TD celebration of all time.
For you (I haven't went back at your posts, cant recall who is on which side) but at least you can list out what he has done per this response.
The thread was started on tariffs and trying to better understand them, not too many people took it as a chance to actually gain any knowledge, it was just an opportunity for them to tear at their neighbors.

That blip was just for two months and has come and gone.
It is true that London murders exceeded NYC for those two months.

However, in the first 6 months of this year, NYC totaled 141 murders and London totaled 80, or there were 75% more murders in NYC than London in the first half of the year.
So yes, London had a murder rate of 18.5/month for February and March while NYC averaged 17.5/month.
For the other 4 months of the first half of 2018, London had a murder rate of 10.75/month and NYC was 2.5 times that at 26.5/month.

It is interesting that London actually exceeded NYC for those two months, but it now appears that that was more a fluke than a trend!

...I could go on, but I'm getting bored. Even when I agree with him, like about eliminating the CA Air Resources Board authority, normalizing gasoline blends across the country, and revamping the UN, he just as often wants to do stupid things like allow oil drilling in the Arctic preserves, suppress science on global warming, and totally mishandles the Puerto Rican hurricane disaster, complete with bully pulpit insults.
By wrong in my previous post, I meant a Presidential action that demonstrably and verifiably resulted in a bad outcome for the USA. What you sent is an inventory of your disagreements with the President's actions or inactions. These are only your opinions, of course, but I have teased out the main points in order to respond.

*** his birther campaign
Not a campaign, but his opinion at the time. Took place before he became President. Early in the campaign he stated that Obummer was born in Kenya just to get it off the table.

*** his support of white nationalists
A total falsehood. Fact: Trump loves all Americans and has brought historically high employment rates for blacks, Hispanics and women to prove it.

*** screwing porn stars out of wedlock
Your opinion. No proof. The alleged "affair" happened before he became President. Voters don't care about this crap.

*** use of coal power and promising coal mining jobs
I love coal power. It is a major resource that we have available in America. The work is done by American workers. A win-win for a lot of people.

*** his incessant and embarrassing tweets
I love his tweets! It is a wonderful way to stay in touch with his supporters. He even carries on international diplomacy through twitter. Remember this tweet? Next thing you know, KJU is negotiating denuclearization.

*** ridiculous negotiations with Boeing on Air Force One.
I authorize the President to negotiate with whoever he wants, whenever he wants, and wherever he wants. He saves the US a lot of money.

*** tax bill Trump signed is stupid.
Wow, you really do hate the man, don't you. o_Oo_O

*** ham-fisted way he's negotiating with NATO...NATO countries not trust us
Not ham-fisted at all. Very calculated. NATO is a organization that has outlived its usefulness. Let the EU defend itself with its transgender army. Lastly, what exactly are the downsides of, let's say, Merkel not "trusting" us?

*** pulling out of the Iran agreement
One of the best things the President has done!! Extra credit for the President here!!

*** what we're doing to children at the border with Mexico
Children must be protected. Many of the kids brought are later trafficked and sexually abused. There has to be a way to verify that they are with their parents. Sad recent case of Ramon Pedro, an illegal alien, who was not separated from his pretend ‘daughter’ at border, was later arrested for repeated rape of the girl. Bottom line, WE NEED A WALL.

*** appointment of Scott Pruitt to run the DoE.
Scott set the right tone for that cowschiit agency, that's for sure.

*** nominating someone to head the NOAA who directly competes with the National Weather Service;...suppress science on global warming
Gawd!! You're even into that "muh man-made climate change" BS!! This is something Americans simply don't care about. It is over! It is a leftest religion, not a science.

*** oil drilling in the Arctic preserves
Yeah, let's just get that oil from Nigeria. It is OK if they F-U their own country. Such hypocrisy.

*** mishandles the Puerto Rican hurricane disaster
Trump did a great job. The dem. mayor of San Juan, Carmen Yulín Cruz, obstructed the rescue efforts, then put on her pu55y hat, ran after the cameras, and said that President Trump was killing Puerto Ricans. But his supporter didn't buy it for a moment. Since then another Puerto Rican democrat MAYOR and his associates have been arrested for the roles they played in stealing federal money from the rescue efforts.

*** handling of Syria, and has let Russia gain a foothold in the Middle East
DING! DING! DING! You come closest to an actual point here. President Trump needs to get OUT of the endless sand wars, and stop listening to democrats Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner.

If Michelle was really supporting women, it would be all, not just those who share her opinions. Remember, she was supposed to be a role model...

And again the left resorts to name calling due to lack of facts...

The left cant even discuss a silly tariff vs hifi thread on an audio forum without shedding personal tears and slander. And really good job knocking women who voted for trump, seems like you share some of the misogynistic scumbags views...
Your thinking is quite confused. I didn't name call, I just use proper descriptions of the drumpf. He encourages such so just going with the flow. I do knock women who voted for the drumpf, as well as men. I'm fair like that. It's just a special kind of stupid.

Thanks for the thoughts! Right now, I'm trying to decide between two subwoofer models.

I'll be getting a pair of whatever I decide.

PSA S3010
Design Sealed, 2 side-firing drivers
Drivers Two 15" High Excursion
Amp 1920W RMS (4300W PEAK)
Enclosure CNC machined MDF
Frequency Response 17Hz-200Hz +/-3dB
Size (DxWxH) 18" x 24" x 22.5" with grilles
Weight 110 lbs
Warranty 5 years

SBS SB-4000
Design Sealed, 1 driver
Driver 13.5"
Amplifier 1200 watts RMS (4000+ watts peak)
Enclosure MDF
Freq. Response 19-310Hz ±3 dB
Dimension 18.3" (H) 17.8" (W) 20.9" (D)
Weight 102.3lbs
Warranty 5 years

Kind of leaning toward the PSA subs. We'll see. Oh yes, back to the AV trade wars. Tom Vodhanel of PSA mentioned this in recent message (on a different forum): "Now we have another couple-few pallets heading to Singapore this week. And we've just signed on a dealer for China too. You read that right..
Made in USA, sold in China. That's another pretty big order(bigger than Singapore for sure). And I think we have Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan coming up soon as well."

I 'preciate'cha @lovinthehd!! Keep those good thoughts coming.

Why are you considering SVS? Do they have enough US content for you? :) Where are the PSA amps made? There are subs with more US content than either....

Maybe a fluke, but give Kahn's London credit for trying. :) Keep in mind that in NYC handguns are legal. There are about 2.5 to 5.0 MILLION handguns floating about in NYC (estimated), whereas handguns are banned in England, so really London is holding its own every month!

In other news, thought crimes in the UK are down thanks to police surveillance of twitter...

who do you think runs the state ?

with respect to your post (#350) you make it sound as if legally carrying a hand gun in NYC is an easy proposition, it's not ! As for your 5 million handguns floating around NYC, don't think for one minute that represents those which are legal.

Facts dont mean anything to some people. According to cbs only 10 percent of ny owns a gun. Basic math would suggest his post is not accurate.

It is. I know a little about distribution on alcohol and beer, heard it can get somewhat expensive. From what I understand is once you go through a distributor, they eat up a lot of cost. Problem is, if you want to hit the national market you are basically tied up with a very limited number of distributors. Take anheuser busch for example, your basically selling them your product for them to sell across the board, huge loss in profits. I could only imagine crossing country borders.

I was going to respond to this poorly-formed drivel, and then it occurred to me that there's a good chance I'm getting lured into a trap! Gary, is that you spoofing me again? You almost fooled me with this Forsooth identity, until you re-used that exact same wording on climate change being a religion you used last time. Well, I'm not falling for this stupidity that no one in their right mind could believe again. It's too embarrassing. You're going to have to do better next time. I'm sorry your leftist positions don't win me over (I'll never believe a 50% income tax rate is fair, ever), and trying to show me how stupid my "conservative" friends are with parodies won't work. The conservatives are other people, get that through your misguided head.

HERE is my source, which concludes:

"So the true number of guns per thousand population in NYC is certainly more than 10 and almost certainly less than 900 -- and probably in the low to mid 3-figure range, say 200-300 guns per thousand, or 0.2-0.3 per capita."

If a low figure is 300 per thou, then a "mid" figure would be perhaps 500 per thou. Based on 8 million pop, that is = to the range I gave. I have also seen the figure 4.7 million guns in NYC used. The basic takeaway is that people who shouldn't have handguns usually don't tell you that they have them.

Runs the state? Democrat Gov. Andrew "America was never that great" Cuomo, and his band of democrats, of course.

I didn't say the handguns were legal or illegal. When it is difficult and expensive to legally obtain a handgun, the underground market thrives. Where I live, it is very easy to legally purchase a handgun. Sometimes I read a report about a local handgun being stolen during a home or auto break in. I just smile :) and take it for granted that the stolen (and now illegal) handgun is on its way to Chicago or NYC where it can be sold to the highest bidder and where it has the least chance of being confiscated.

I myself am not a gun owner. Just never been interested. I am a member of the NRA, however.
