Android to reciever via Bluetooth or RCA?

Perhaps I was unclear. It has nothing to do with my computer, stand alone DAC etc. or their satisfaction of my personal criteria for convenience and function. Without further obfuscation please - Phone Bluetooth to the HK signal reciever plugged into my home theater, or RCA out from my phone into a home theater processor?
If you simply want the better choice with what you have then I'd tend to agree with the others that hardwired would be better with perhaps the exception of having your smart tv pass on a digital signal for Tidal if the Tidal app on the tv can be operated with your android as a remote (like Spotify Connect apps work).

In you car, a wired line connection is always more reliable, just like in the home.
Thank you! Would that still be the case if the music I was transferring is downloaded and stored on the phone itself? In the home, would there be any difference in the signal delivered to the amp by either method? This is what I dont understand. Note that my primary music listening is via an entirely different setup. I appreciate members patience and thoughts.

Perfect! Glad I didn't have to write a Letter to the Editor at Stereophile (where I would have been advised to immediately purchase new wires for connection )!

I think it would well worth the little bit of time it takes to find Tidal website on your Smart TV, enter your log-in info and save it. You'd then have a couple of options on output and have higher quality and reliability.

And a power conditioner for my phone charger so it doesn't absorb dirty energy!

I will look into that. Year old Sony, so it might be possible. Thank you.

The point is, I very seldom send that signal to the speakers, having another satisfactory to me arrangement for listening to music, and I do not wish to purchase any new gear. Let's move out to my vehicle....same question...send signal from phone to radio via bluetooth or line connection?
Please excuse my being so obtuse. Did some research on the Amazon Fire TV and sounds great ...Tidal is available on it, and as I do not use the TV speakers, HDMI will move the signal to the home theater processor. Thank you all for the suggestions and opinions. Had not intended to purchase any new gear, but for the modest price this looks worth a try.

Just keep in mind not all apps are created equally. Might want to make sure which features are possible with that particular Tidal app in that device.

Good point. If I understood promotional info correctly, Tidal created the app for the Amazon Fire Stick 4k so that display and videos would look right on large screens, and it is full featured.

I was thinking more of the full cd quality streams and especially the MQA encoded stuff if you're really buying into the Tidal thing....

I do subscribe to the premium option, and occasionally listen to the Master versions (computer, DAC, headphones) ...as a subscriber I would expect that to follow when I log in to the new device, but perhaps not. Some recent audio selections have really surprised me with how good they sound...instrument separation and so forth.

Tidal HiFi is the more expensive subscription, and offers MQA. Tidal Premium is their lower res one at 320kbps and no MQA.

Docoding or "full unfolding" happens only within an MQA-certified DAC. and most mobile devices do not have that. In fact, most mobile devices can't do anything above that 320kbps rate. I have to use BubblePnP app to get the "CD quality" 1441kbps rate of Tidal HiFi on my phone or tablet to my headphones (KEFM500) or earbuds (KEF M100.)

I don't know what a Firestick does, but it should at least do the HiFi version.

I have the $20 month subscription....was uncertain if called Premium or Hi Fi.

I have a Musical Fidelity M1 Upsampling D/A converter DAC....but I do not know about MQA certified?

Tha DAC is preceded by computer to V Link 192, and DAC is followed by a Burson headphone amp to Audeze LCD 3's. Good interconnects (if a difference between using them and coathangers is to be believed). Few years old and my wallet is coming up with the dry heaves...I am pleased with sound I get. Would upgrades be worth the cost? What might I expect? Thanks for your thoughts. I notice a slight expansion when listening to HD through J River.

Google "MQA partners" and see if the maker of your DAC is on their list. Or just check the specs of your DAC.

Is there any way to add MQA to my system without replacing my DAC, which evidently does not have that capability?

Analog output from a PC running the Tidal App is one way, other than that the Audioquest Dragonfly USB DAC is the cheapest way to get it without using their app, as far as I know.

I have 3 Bluesound devices at home that do it for me.
