So I bought an Onkyo M-506RS amp and matching 306rs Preamp on Ebay. I've had some horror stories before, but this one is the worst, at least dollar wise.
It showed up and before I touched it, I knew it would be bad. I could see the amp through this hole:
Ok then, I drag it inside and open it up. Oh boy, it's bad, real bad. The preamp looks ok, but I didn't care all that much about it, the amp was what I was mainly interested in, and it was a mess.
Poor Timmy, he can't even look at it.
The back is bent up and some of the speaker terminals are messed up:
And the pics he put up aren't pics of the unit I got. I sent him 3 messages and so far I have...crickets.
Somehow, the front panel is fine. I don't know if it can even be fixed. I requested a total refund, including shipping, and I would send it all back so we would both be out about a hundred bucks when it's all done, or he gives me the units and I get $500 back, gambling I can at least partially fix it myself.
Why is packing so difficult when it's just common sense?
