I am wanting to add a power amp to my RX-A1060 Yamaha AVR. My speaker system is all Klipsch; RP-450 center, set of RP-280 fronts, set of RP-160M surrounds, set of RP-160M zone 2, set of R-15M overhead and two R10 subs. I am looking at either a Yamaha MXA5000 Aventage or a Emotiva XPA-7 G3. With the Yamaha I have the option to power all my speakers, bi-amp my floor speakers and have the matching option if I upgrade my AVR to more channels in the future. The Emotiva would give me all the power I would ever want on my main channels. I can actually buy the Yamaha for $300 USD less than the Emotiva. So the question is which amp will give me the best sound out of my speakers. I am not looking to blow out any windows, but will the extra power out of the Emotiva convert into better sound quality? I don't need options for different amps, I am between these two amps because of Logistics and buying options for where I am located.
