When comparing the performance measurements, the 118HT certainly has a performance advantage, but not a really major one until you get to frequencies above 60 Hz. It has been tested in depth here at data-bass.com. It looks like it has between a 2 to 3 dB advantage against the VTF15h mk2 at 20 Hz and below, tied with the VTF15h mk2 from 25 to 40 Hz, and has a roughly 4 dB edge against the VTF15h mk2 above 60 Hz. JTR makes some killer products, but with the 118HT you are not getting double the performance of a VTF15h mk2. You need to step up to the Captivator 1400 to double a VTF15h mk2.

Thats was very helpful and for my needs or wants at this moment for under $900 bucks the VTF15 will be a great entry level sub for me to try.
I am probably going to send all the Klipsch back and start from scratch as my measurements where off and these two towers stand out like a sore D****..

Ok . Went with HSU 15 V Mk2 for rear per HSU recommendation.
Since all of original posts I dropped down to 260fa towers and 440 centers.
They actually sounded deeper and better in my application
My question now is the gaping hole in cabinet ..
Is there a sealed sub I could add to compliment the rear HSU 15v mk2 and also fill in this hole which is 17” y’all and 20” wide?

Svs sb2000 would fit. I put 2 of these into cabinets myself. I guess your choise are seled subs if you want to put them into your cabinet.

So that won’t interfere or cause problems with a ported sub in the rear?

My advice is don't put a sub in that cabinet. If you put a sub in there, it is liable to rattle the entire cabinet. All those pictures and decorative bottles will rattle and vibrate. Also, a sealed sub is not the easiest thing to integrate with a ported sub. If I were you I would put something else there, maybe an HTPC or some other component like that. Or maybe something decorative.
