How can I make this work?

I have a little Onkyo 2 channel amp that has no sub-woofer outputs. It does have a "line out" but I would assume (correctly?) that the volume knob would not change its level.

I have a little set of those RadioShack/RCA speakers with the Linneaum tweeters on top of them that I would like to use as satellites.

I have a really old Pioneer 2n1 HT sound bar with a powered sub.

The sub rocks but the sound bar sucks. The problem is that you can't run the sub independently. I was thinking I could pull the amp out of the sub and install this:

How do I control the sub with my Onkyo A9010 integrated amp?

The only way you can use a sub – any sub – with your Onkyo will be to get one with speaker-level inputs.

So now my next question. I can't decide if I want my full range Pinnacle AC850s or the little RCAs on stands in my bedroom tv set-up. I know the RCAs would benefit from the augmented bass provided by the above suggested sub but do you think it would be a waste to add the sub to the Pinnacles http://www.pinnaclespeakers.com/ac850.html ?

These are highly recommended by the guys here and well reviewed everywhere and on youtube. I've never heard them, but hopefully one day. Since you already have stands + the lower end on these Sonys are said to be good. If were me for the value I'd get both(speakers and Dayton sub) for better harmony.
118$ for the pair: https://www.amazon.com/Sony-SSCS5-3-Driver-Bookshelf-Speaker/dp/B00O8YLMVA
Another great higher tier speaker for 99$ each(originally 250$ each):

It's amazon and if you DON'T like them return them and get a full refund. I DOUBT you will. If you got the funds try both and send other others back that don't appeal to you.

If you pinnacles play to their published spec - 3bd @30hz you would likely not need a sub for music. But at 28lbs each I would fathom to say the cabinets add coloration to the sound at lower frequencies at moderate spl.

I've heard that despite being an "old" company that flies under the radar, BIC makes (maybe markets is a better term) some fairly decent stuff.

I think I'm going to go with the BIC.
You can't go wrong with any sub suggested. They will all be good with music. The Bics will be good for both Movies/Music. Which speakers did you decide on?
