Bass Response/Speaker Placement Question

How much does elevating a (small) floor-standing speaker off the floor affect bass response? I lifted my Pinnacles about 24" off the floor to get them at tv screen height and it seems the bass is suffering.

If your ceiling is 8’ high, elevating the high enough that the woofers are midway between the floor and ceiling will likely cause a nice dip at 80hz.

SBIR is an issue when moving speakers away from boundaries. Ideally you want your speakers close enough to the wall/floor that you push the 1/4 wavelength cancellation frequency into the range where the speaker is more directional.
