Where to get 80-100 watts receiver that's not 17" wide to hook up to my tv

My tv cabinet will not support a 17" wide receiver. Is there some combination of equipment (micro receiver, DAC, amp) that I can put together to get all the benefits of a 17" wide receiver. I want to power the Defenitive Technology Pro Cinema 600 set up (6 piece 5.1 channel home theater system - center speaker, subwoofer, 4 satellites) and have my tv play through them while also being able to play fm or have a 3.5 mm aux input so I can take advantage of hooking the DT speakers up to my google chrome cast audio wifi setup.

With all the advancement in technology why doesn't someone make a receiver less than 17" wide as I believe there are thousands like me who want to listen to premium audio without all the mamouth equipment. If you say go buy a soundbar, I might have to, but it will be a last resort and I do not belive I'll get the sound I want, maybe I'm wrong. Thank you for reading and any feedback you can give me!

AFAIK you can find shorter units but not narrower. Can you put the receiver other than in the tv caninet and just operate it with a remote?

No I do not have a space for a 17" wide receiver where I have my set up. The only options I have are sound bar, new tv cabinet or someone here gives me a combination of micro receiver, DAC, Amp, etc. Again I want a 80 - 100 watts without a mamouth receiver if possible

How much can you spend for small?

$300 - $400 as long as I can hook up my tv, Defenitive Technlogy pro cinema 600 speakers and I have an aux input for my google chromecast audio

I made the mistake of hanging onto an "entertainment center" that wouldn't fit many audio products, for way too long. Its width and overall capacity was limiting me on what components I could use. I now use an open, low height unit from Tech Craft, model NR148. It's 48" wide, 16" deep and only 19" tall, takes up to 175 pounds of weight on the glass shelves. I have been able to rearrange many things over the years, as VCR's, cassette decks and now CD changers became obsolete.

It was worth the small investment to change that base piece.

That budget is way too small for some things I was thinking about. Simpler to just get rid of the tv cabinet IMO so as to have proper space for normal components.

I Have a nice TV cabinet with a granite top which I was trying to keep.

If someone just made smaller components it would all work

Supposing I can increase my budget what were you thinking

Some combo of gear from miniDSP.com was one thought. That Teac unit is interesting but the amplification will not be in your budget. Hard to beat the value of a receiver, you just need an appropriate space....

I take it back, that Teac unit does have some amplification (thought it was a pre-amp from the title), but not multi-ch for your speaker set.

Teac is only stereo thou.
https://www.minidsp.com/products/ht-series/nanoavr-hda
This is what possibly would work, budget busting of course and no where as easy to use as regular avr, nor has practically no resale value due to extremely limited usage case.
You'd still need to add ether 5 channel amp (I couldn't find narrow ones) or 3x stereo amps, maybe like these ones:
https://www.parts-express.com/dayton-audio-dta-120-class-t-mini-amplifier-60-wpc--300-3800
So you're looking at about $600 with shipping/taxes

I hadn't looked at the pricing on the nanoavr, thought it was higher from memory.

Edit: Did they screw up the labeling of the "PRE-OUT" connections? It makes no sense! White RCA's are Left and red RCA's are Right? Front and Rear? Hunh?
Other than lack of HDMI, I think we got a winner here.
Kurt, not sure why are you confused on pre-outs. Left Top White RCA - Left Front and below it is "Right Front" channel. Same for middle column Top = Left Rear, Bottom= Right Rear

Last question for all of you who have commented. Is $300 a fair price for the Teac mentioned here? Thank you!

Wow! I don't know! I guess I was somehow thinking speaker connections. Pretty serious brain-fart!
I edited out my comment to avoid confusing anyone.
Thanks for setting things straight!
