Lots of bullshit in audio. Your speakers aren't necessarily a bad choice, the RTiA line gets pretty good comments generally, just that for the cost/application sometimes you can use additional input/info to maximize your application/budget.
Just in general and due to easier return policies vs warranty, good to hook up and confirm good working order before that initial time period expires. I've read too many times of people who wait and have an issue without easy resolution....
