Theater Carpet

My husband is wanting an ultra-soft theater carpet in our new build. I know I have seen this type of carpet before but I can't find it online anywhere. It's feels very silky and has a short, tight pile. Anyone have any idea what I'm talking about? Most of the theater carpet sites online carry the same two doz carpets and none look close to what I am searching out.

I would go to the local stores that sell all flooring needs - tiles, wood, carpet.

I have seen many of those short stain-proof commercial-looking carpets in these stores.

Are the tops of the fibers cut or looped?

There are a ton of theater carpet dealers online which can get you specialty home theater carpet directly. I would fully expect that if you can order it online, then a true 'carpet store' would be able to get you something like that as well.

How soft/silky it feels... I just don't know.

Have you looked at wool carpets?
