AFAIK it will not be an elevated system but it will be interesting to see how they cope with the snow. Canada's train systems are diesel locomotives but the high speed trains I've been on elsewhere were electric. I'm curious too know if they will electrify that line. Part of the problem here is that a lot of the old rail lines have been closed and removed or turned into multi-use trails. I enjoy those trails but the result is that passenger trains share the rails with freight and the freight operators own the tracks. Hard to guarantee good passenger service with that arrangement. I still love taking the train from London to Toronto. Traffic on HWY 401 has become too congested and the service on VIA trains is generally pretty good.

So you've never ridden the monorail at Disney? ;)
Well I do live in freaking Fl. Yes back in the day when I lived in Orlando. And the monorail its only at Disney,. They have been trying to get it connected to OIA and downtown Orlando. But its not going to happen. That service today happens on Brightline.
