i am looking for a way to plug into audio out to my Bluetooth so I can use my wireless headphones. Tried zone 2 but nothing. I want them to work no matter the input I am using. Tried a splitter on headphone jack but of corse the problem is no sound out of speakers.

It appears the VSX90 has a Bluetooth transmitter built in. You shouldn't need to use the Zone2 outs. Which headphones are you trying to connect?

What are you trying to connect exactly?

Bose. I thought the Bluetooth was just a receiver.
You are correct that receiver can only receive Bluetooth.

There are no outputs except speaker or headphones.

You only option is to connect a Bluetooth transmitter to the headphone jack and then as you found out the speakers will not play. That is no different though from having standard non BT phones.

So unless you have the skill to modify the receiver and install right and left pre outs then you are out of luck.

Zone 2 will work if you use analog audio connections from your sources also.
