Hoping some experienced tech can give me a nudge in the right direction in resolving an issue with this vintage receiver. Receiver has been recently recapped and functioned perfectly before below issue.

Using the “Mode” selector in FM or AUX input, and balance even:

Stereo: Sound from L speaker only

Reverse: Sound from R speaker only

Mono L+R: Both speakers, in mono

Right: No sound

Left: Sound

Balance function tested ok when speakers physically reversed. Speakers both test ok.

Any help appreciated.

Have you tried using the tuner to verify if only one channel works there also? I'm not a tech, but that would bypass some of the circuitry and help Target the problem.

Try turning the volume from minimum to maximum and back many (like 100) times and see what happens. Obviously do it when the receiver is turned off.
