I have found a lot of things I listen to because links were posted. It's not a big deal either way and some reminders do come via a mere mention.
I think youtube is great and I do listen to entire albums. There is one that youtube provides with "Topic" listed in the post credit that will not only have the album, but more often than not, all of what is available on youtube by that artist and mostly in HD. Not that the HD really dictates the sound quality, but that the downloads were presented from the best available quality download.
"Here" is an example of a library of artists recording on youtube. When I am looking for a certain title, I will go down through the page and search for the "Topic" download and go through ALL the albums. I have been sent on some most enjoyable marathons of listening by users links here. lovinthehd has posted entire albums that I just listen to the end because it only took one click while I was doing other things.
On the other hand, I listen to mostly Jazz at home because I listen to classic stuff all day long at work and I have been through decades of repeats with those genres. Not to mention what the mainstream tends to do with the popular music ad nauseam. Every once in a while I'll get nostalgic and revisit the parts of the albums that did not get a lot of mainstream air time, but mostly now, it's in search of new material and much of which tends to be somewhat underground, comparatively. I don't post too many because I realize that Jazz is one of the least popular followings in the mainstream.
ETA: In spite of the common thought that free air listening does nothing for the artists royalties, I have bought a lot of CD's for test driving albums on youtube.
