Alright gentlemen.... Have decided to go with the Pioneer C22 modified by http://philharmonicaudio.com/aa.html they have them available and shipped for only $145 dont think I can pass that up and I'm pulling the trigger.

I will also be going with the Dayton Audio 1500..(One for now)

So it just comes down to a good receiver .. I'm going to try and increase that budget to $600 so fire away with and input on what I should look at.

That speaker will have a different xover and may not match up as well to your 52s as the stock center but I'd ask @Dennis Murphy at Philharmonic.

Putting $600 into this system for a Receiver is overkill.

As much as the Denon AVR-X3300W is a killer of a unit, and that's a smoking deal; I maintain it would be better to go with a Denon AVR-S920W for half of that, and either get a better Sub, or buy a second one instead.

Heard where? I have had one issue with the Spotify app they could have been more pro-active with, and was eventually resolved, but no real need for their customer service otherwise as yet. I wouldn't worry too much about it as usually you'll deal with the retailer if something goes wrong early on as electronics are wont to do...

My credit card offers an extension of a year to even the refurb warranty, check your credit card terms for such. So maybe 2 years without buying an extra policy or buying new....

You're not wrong you know. If the budget is very tight, it would definitely make sense to save money on everything else and invest maximum to where it matters most - speakers.

If Bryan would go into the used market for a better Receiver fine; but still to spend $600 on a receiver for what is an entry level HT System is folly. Higher tier auto room calibration and pre-outs are something the more advanced user will benefit from => or someone who can afford the next level of HT System. Home Theater is like a chain, it will only be as good as the weakest link. People need to focus more on Speakers - including Subs to meet the Budget.

I'm like you, at the moment 4K has virtually no programming of interest, and therefore is of little interest to me. But a lot of folks are buying these sets, and won't want to be limited by their choice of receiver. (Bryan should chime in on this.)

Now if the Budget goes up enough, then the whole equation changes substantially. But remember, Bryan is starting from a pair of Andrew Jones' designed SP-FS52 Floor Standing Speakers from Pioneer. Those are the foundation of the system, and everything needs to compliment that choice. And better, or multiple Subs, IMHO are where those dollars should be spent.
