I know these aren't at the exact same price point but has anyone tried/heard both? Thoughts?

Big Dub the Polk RTi/RTiA series is decent. I have found them to be very fatiguing and the tweeter can get down right harsh even at moderate volume levels. The Polk LSi/LSiM is much better overall, but also much more expensive. In that specific price range, there are many other better choices inmho. However, Polk does have a half off sale once a year or so on the LSiM series which does make things much more interesting. Even then, there are still some other brands to consider. Are these the ONLY two speakers/brands that you are considering?

Actually I already have the RTI's and I mostly agree with your assessment. Also due to space constructions I'm not crazy about the large centre channels that match with this series. Have a chance to get the Images and swap out and I like PSB but I haven't heard much from this series so that's why I was asking. Always open to other speaker recommendations in that range.

Cheers

I fully understand. I have not heard the PSB speakers so I can not be of much help there. However, I can say that they are very highly regarded here, as well as, on many other forums. Polks are decent for HT. But musically speaking, they leave much to be desired. In order to recommend other brands/speakers we need to know a bit more first.

How big is your room? More importantly, how far do you sit from the front-stage? What is your budget? Are you primarily doing HT? Or, do you also listen to a lot of music? Gamer? Do you have a sub or subs? What will you be powering said speakers with? I see that you mention space restrictions-so space is at premium eh? Have the same issue here. Doing Atmos? 5.1/5.2 or 7.1/7.2? Appreciate more info before recommending other brands.

Given that you like PSB speakers I say you are already on the right path. I am sure there are others here that are more familiar with them than me. I do admire how you are seeking good info before pulling the trigger. Lots of talented folks here that will gladly help. :):):)

Cheers,

Phil

I haven't heard the Polks so I can't offer you anything really useful. All I can tell you is that I really like PSB. However our hearing may be very different and you may find PSB is not to your tastes. I would audition if you can.

You should find the PSB a little more smooth, refine, and cohesive.

Is anyone familiar with the Energy C3's, how would they compare?

Auditioned them over the weekend, basically agree with this assessment. Not a massive difference but better imaging, and refinement. Also a bit warmer than the Polks.
