Hi to you all, I have an old Tag McLaren set up
AV 32R DP Processer

DVD 32R

Amps 5 X 250 Watt Tag

Oracle deck with Sumiko arm and Koetsu Onyx

Revel gems front

Kef 202c centre

Rears 2 old Dahlquist dq10


I know that the Processor has got to go, and I think the DVD player, along with the Dahlquists
Any constructive advice will be appreciated

Is the preamp no longer working or do you have specific reasons to change? Are the Dahlquists needing repair or something? Graduating to bluray? What's the budget? Hard to know what you're thinking unless you explain more...

Yes all in working order, I don't know if I should change completely and start again or go for a new Processer? and if I stay with the gems its going to cost quite a bit

As things have moved on, with wireless speakers and such like do I scrap the lot? an go for a compromise, may be the money I will get back would buy a new setup?

Well, if you want to utilize HDMI or other specific reasons your current processor is inadequate, that's going to dictate what kind of responses/suggestions you'll get. If the current processor works for your purposes then why change? Not sure why the gems have anything to do with a processor, though.

Wireless speakers? Not usually, you still need wires to power them even if they have on-board amps. You may indeed be able to finance any changes by selling gear, but again if the gear is working, what are you trying to actually achieve?
