Subwoofer Power Draw

i see subs like the new PB16 Ultra with 1500w continuous Amps but wanted to know what's their real world power draw?

Considering two of these along with my AVR and components running through two power conditions connected to a dedicated outlet with 15A breaker. When I asked SVS about this with the 13Ultras they said it should be fine. Now I'm thinking of going up again on the sub I'm not sure if I'm going to start tripping the breaker and thought to ask here first. If I need to I can put some devices on to an outlet that shares a breaker with the other living room outlets.

4 Klipsch CDT 3650 for Atmos
2 SVS PB16 Ultras

Those ratings are maximum power handling. True power draw really depends on your room room size and and how loud you want the sub to play. In normal size room and normal listening levels I would say its quite far from the maximum power ratings except for peaks, but I would say that even the peaks wont be near to those ratings.

Circuit breakers are rated for continuous current draw. Music and movies only draw peak current for brief periods of time. So if you don't play full volume continuous test tone you will be fine.

Seriously, I have no life.
My two passive subs amp will indicate over 200 watts per on some dynamic parts, perhaps 250.
All on a 15A breaker. Don't forget the peaks are supported by the caps in the power supply.

Thanks for the feedback. I was concerned I was going to have a problem.

At what point should I be concerned. I'm thinking down the road maybe getting an amp for my fronts and surrounds. I was told Atmos speakers don't have much draw so they could stay on the AVR.

Only a concern when you draw 15+ amps or have an amplifier that needs a 20amp circuit.

If you draw over 15 amps, it will through the breaker, then you can worry about it.

Surrounds rarely need above average power.
