Its for home theater purpose, and wonder whether 150w/ch is sufficient?

The speaker has a higher-than-average efficiency spec. You could probably get by with half that much power.

I key in using http://myhometheater.homestead.com/splcalculator.html.

At 50watt, it can already produce 102.3 dB SPL at listening position. WOW.
Meaning, if i use a 100w/ch power amp, its more than enuff.....:)

But... when I key in 100watt (which is double of 50watt), surprisingly, it can only produce 105db SPL (only 3dB higher by doubling the watt)? Did I miss something ?

No, that is how it works, takes a doubling of power for each additional 3dB spl.
