Hi guys,
I am building my future HT system for my future house.

So far I own a:
Emotiva xpa-5
Emotiva upa-2
Klipsch rp-280f fronts
Klipsch rp-450c center
Klipsch rp-240s
Klipsch rw-12d sub x2
Apc H15 power conditioner
Monoprice 12awg wires and Nakamichi banana and spade plugs
Rca 2xMediabridge Ultra-sub, 5x ixos xhd258 for the speaker amp connection.
As receiver goes... Still not decided.. I plan on 7.2.2 or 7.2.4 or 9.2.2 down the road but only when Ill leave in my own house and not a rental. In like 3years from now...now all i could do is 7.2 probably..
I love the dynamic sound. Movies 70% music 30%.

Im planning on getting 2 towers for the rear channels... Hard to choose...
Rp-250f or Boston Acoustics m340 or?
Any help greatly appreciated.
Thank you.

Sounds like you're pretty well set up. Any reason to go with an avr rather than a pre/pro other than cost? If you aren't cutting holes in the celing why worry about immersive audio at this point? Personally not going for 4K or immersive audio and think its a good time to pickup units being closed out for the lack of such features....can't help you with the rear surrounds but if you're not into multi-ch music wouldn't put too much speaker into those positions and would rather work on better subwoofage.

Thanks for the reply. I was thinking to "future-proof" my system.. DTS X and hdcp2.2.. Otherwise i would choose the Marantz 7009 in a heartbeat for 899 on eBay. Original plan was to get a RP-240s for the back or sides and just have those but after talking to the Klipsch representative they told me that a bookshelf speaker or floorstanding one would be a better choice overall completing my system..
Also, how important is the DTS X?
Or ive seen for sale the "integra" hdcp 1.4 to 2.2 converters.. How would that work if i get the Marantz 7009?

I was just looking up the RP-240S and surprised they don't seem to say whether it's wired bi-pole, di-pole or what.

No matter because those are good surrounds to use in either side or rear, depending upon the room configuration and you already have them. There might be conflict if you added a second pair, so I would go with the RP-160M or RP-150M as the third pair in a 7.2 system. Sure, you could spend on floorstanding for the third pair, but you'd never use them for all they can do. Bookshelf such as the RP-160M would do just fine. Save a few bucks and put it toward a good pre-pro.

That keeps your speakers "all Klipsch" for a uniform look and sound. Moreover, if you later want to add Atmos or DTS:X then Klipsch has matching products for that too.

You seem to have ample amplification, so just look for a good surround sound pre-processor rather than a receiver. You have Emotiva products so if you trust them, their XMC-1 is modular and upgradeable. For the same money the Anthem AVM60 is already loaded and future proofed (as well as they can) and has the superior ARC room correction system.

For the rear speakers do not use bi-pole/di-pole.
Use a pair of Klipsch mono-poles.
As for DTS X....one huge benefit over ATMOS, is that the dialogue level can be increased, w/o increasing the entire center channel volume.

Future proof....for how many years? 2? 3? :)

DTS:X hasn't even been fully rolled out so who knows. Not too many discs have the encoding from what I know. I didn't know there was such a thing as an HDMI converter....got a link?

Im just wondering if it actually really works.. Then i would buy a last years high end receiver or pre/pro and just use that converter..

If you are going for an Atmos or DTS:X system, do not go for dipole or bipole surrounds. Use monopole speakers all around. Also, I would much rather go for bookshelf speaker fronts and better subwoofers. The Klipsch 12" subs are just not very good. Bass is a big part of the dynamics, and you will end up with mediocre bass with your outlined system. I would go down to bookshelf speaker fronts using a 6" woofer or larger, and getting some serious 15" woofers, and no Klipsch subs. I would be looking at a a Hsu dual VTF3 system, absolutely killer setup, and worlds better than the Klispch subs. With those beasts handling bass, you do not need the extra extension of tower speakers, so I would be looking at the RP-160 for the front left/right. As it is, your system will be bottle-necked by middling bass performance.

Thanks.
I believe that for a while ill have to wait and use these two subs rw-12d, until my budget will allow me to spend on a new set of subs.
