The entire premise of the device is nonsense. The data that flows from the USB stick to the stereo or laptop is just the compressed MP3 file. It's the exact same stream of 1s and 0s you copied over to it in the first place. If the stream were not transferred error-free, you wouldn't be able to copy a program or picture to USB without introducing flaws.
The actual decoding of the encoded, compressed, essentially scrambled MP3 data occurs within the car stereo head unit or computer itself. The file itself gets transferred with 100% fidelity over USB, and the decoder in the car stereo actually decodes the digital information. The head unit literally copies the file from the USB drive to its own internal memory and then decodes it, the same way you'd copy the Adobe Reader installer from a flash drive to install it on your PC.
It's literally and technically impossible for this device to have any effect on the quality of the sound whatsoever.
