I've got to say, I've been extremely impressed with the new Logitech Harmony. It's a huge improvement over the One that I traded in and this controls nearly everything.

Just got great news! My daughter's fiance received an offer for a new position that will bring them back from Virginia to right here at home.

That's great news, John.

Well, I guess you didn't say that he accepted the offer, yet... :)

Pretty sure that's the plan. It is actually his current company because they have an office here. He's been waiting for a position to open up at this location and one finally did. So it is more of a transfer, but it gets them back here.

One of many. :D At least that one could get me all in one bite, as opposed to letting me realize my arm was gone before blood loss had me blacking out as I watched the great white coming back.

So I had a little problem with my nest. I got a defective one from Amazon wherehouse deals and it ended up popping a fuse on the furnace. Not ideal at all since it meant I had to call maintenance and was without heat overnight. I sent it back and am going to try a different one. If this one gives me trouble, then I think I'm done with "smart" thermostats for awhile.

Awesome! How's she doing after a few days?

She's going to nee d a lot work. She's very skittish and shy. A few behavioral issues, but nothing that can't be corrected with some patience. She is wire chewer. Double sided tape on the speaker cables and lamp chords.

Anyone else have this experience?
When my cat died, I got rid of everything. I didn't want any memories of her in the house other than pictures. When my dad died, I wanted, and want, to keep everything he touched. "Oh, here's the pen he used when he wrote the check for the gas bill in 1991". I don't know seems weird, but what ever.
