Hi,
I was looking for some advice on what receiver to upgrade too? I currently have a Denon AVRX2000 and was thinking of the Anthem MRX510 or the Pioneer SCLX88.
I mainly use the receiver for movies and music is not really a concern. Would I really hear a difference between the Denon I currently have, compared to one of the high end (for my budget anyway) that I mentioned above?
Fairly new to this, so still trying to learn a bit more on the technical side!

In Direct mode comparison without using Room EQ or any DSP modes, you will probably not even notice a difference in sound quality.

The ARC is superior to the Audyssey in your X2000, but not sure it would be worth the serious increase in price. What speakers do you have?

I have a mission SXC2 Centre, Audica CX Towers as fronts, Monitor Audio Silver as side's and Jamo 626 Towers as rears and a Jamo Sub. I know its a mixed up lot, but have to have them like that for my marriage! I also use decent quality speaker cable too, all with banana plugs.
I have actually pushed the button and ordered the MRX 510, so hopefully I will be able to post whether or not I hear any major improvements! I am getting a tech to do the install, so hopefully he can get the best out of my speakers that maybe I cannot with the Audyssey!
Thanks for the response.

I doubt you'll be disappointed with the 510's sound. I have a 310 myself and it'll have to be pried from my dead fingers before I give it up.
