Like most wives don't complain as it is now.:(:)
Yeah, my wife usually "complains" all the time too. But that short segment from Edge of Tomorrow was way more than usual. :D

Seriously, I have no life.
The only disappointing part of this movie is that the serious bass at the start of this flick did not carry through the entire film.
I saw this last night in anticipation of your earlier comment. The amp meters were pegged on the subs and center. Not sure about the L/R as they are not metered.
Also not sure what to attribute this effect, the falling objects from space? It was a continuous effect almost a minute as it was leading into the movie. I doubt you you'd get that pressure wave unless you are near one of those falling objects. No sonic booms like in Battle: LA.

I told you the bass was off the charts for the first 20 to 30 seconds. :)

Yes, but was that in the theaters too or an audio track issue? The scenes don't require it that I can make out.

Most theaters suck. So we can't compare HT to theater.

Isn't the first 20-30 sec all black or fuzzy noisy screen? So anything could be happening. :D

I just rechecked it on my regular TV. It stars as soon as you start the movie after the piracy stuff.
Yes, not much shows, just some disturbances what seems to be on tv screens then the broadcaster is on still with this steady noise.
Not sure what could cause it in their reality. The real image of the asteroid strike in Russia a few years ago is shown, perhaps with a sonic boom.

Just trying to wrap my mind around this. ;)

I was surprised as you when I encountered this. My attitude now ...."going for the ride as long as I don't damage the sub" . I'm going to use this as my sub demo material;)

Same here. Whenever I'm in the mood for some subwoofer workout or want to show someone, I just watch that segment of the movie. :D

Yes, if that was only in the sub but why the center as well? And perhaps L/R too?

Finally watched the movie. I really enjoyed it. The ending was quite different from the original story, but I still liked it :)

If anybody cares, measurements have been posted on data-bass (courtesy of nube):

What original story? :D

But yeah, the bass at the beginning of the movie scared the heck out of me because I do run my subs a little hot. I literally jumped out of my seat. :D

Can't wait to see if "Interstellar" has the same bass magnitude when it is released on BD. :D

My sub playing teh start of this film. I took a piece of painters tape which I stuck on and off on a carpet 5 times before putting it on the sub to help show the woofer movement.

Awesome. :D

"Edge of Tomorrow" has the best demo scene ever so far. :)

Will see if "Interstellar" can top that. :)
