Warning Spoilers ahead

I gotta say, despite pretty average source quality (barely what I would call HD) - I did enjoy Edge of Tomorrow, as I would call it
Groundhog Day with Metal Gear Solid exoskeletons and Aliens :)
You'll see what I mean rather soon in the movie.

But I am not here to judge the quality of the source, but the movie itself - Both special effects and sounds are excellent.
Storyline despite not being very original, still passable for a summer blockbuster....

I could even forget the cocky acting by Cruise and his insistence that he would ride a bike at least once in any movie

Overall 7+ - Definitely rent it or even just buy it straight

p.s: Only recently I learned why such movies called summer blockbuster - if anyone is curious - read up here:

Best damn movie I ever saw.

I give this movie a 9.9 out of 10.

I would give it a perfect "10.0" if they could extend the ending 15 more minutes to show the life of Cage & Rita together after the war. :D

I saw it in IMAX and thought it was OK, definitely worth a rental, but I won't be adding it to my library.

I've not watched the movie yet but I'd like to eventually. I read the book and manga some time ago and enjoyed both.

I heard about the bass in the first 20 - 30 seconds into this flick and all I can say is OMG :eek::eek: . I heard the bass drop in frequency until I couldn't hear it anymore replaced with a pressure sensation against my chest and my ears wanting to pop when you go through altitude changes. This track will seriously test the limits of one's sub.

Do we now have to consider structural integrity of the room? ;) :D

I told you. I am a bass fiend. And I was scared when I experienced that segment of "Edge of Tomorrow". It makes the bass in all the Transformers movies sound like TV speakers (well, okay, maybe an exaggeration). :D

When I experienced that bass, I immediately turned down the volume.

Get to watch tonight, although not at any earth shattering levels. Possibly not even on the surround setup. Oh well, should still be a great movie based on the reviews.

What? Why? So where will you be watching it? Or with whom? :)

Just watched it. I was expecting more (or maybe just different) based on the trailer, but still good.

Cruise and Blunt had great chemistry during this movie. I liked it.

The only disappointing part of this movie is that the serious bass at the start of this flick did not carry through the entire film.

True. But I am not sure if that would've been a great idea. It may have been way too hot for most people. Wives would complain. :D
