You seem to have it all under control. Good luck with your endeavor and new forum. FWIW you might find a few people from this bloody forum on other forums too

Also I dont think you would be importing any SVS subs with your stated budget

Most good quality subs are costly to ship overseas. SVS does make lighter ones such as the SB1000 and SB2000. Being sealed they tend to produce tighter bass that may also be punchy enough for you in a smaller room.

Would help so much in order to avoid the stock B&W sub's
Is it because the B&W sub is over your budget?

Or because you've listened to the B&W sub and didn't like it?

Have you listened to any sub and liked it? Just to get us an idea of what you like.

If you have a smaller size room, most subwoofers would work just fine. I think any sub from SVS, HSU, Rythmik, NHT, would work well for your room.

Well I went over to one of the distributors for SVS he have stopped dealing with them as they were having issues of defects or something and didn't recommend it . so thinking about it he suggested to stick to the b&w it self since we don't want a sub that mighy sound punchy but may die or have chances of . b&w being the reliable pick . so yah going with the b&w .. Got Lil scared hearing that

Yeah, if you can get the B&W sub locally, I would do that for sure. Hopefully it won't happen to you, but subwoofer amps can occasionally malfunction. If that happens, it may be a lot easier getting replacement amps through your local B&W dealer than overseas.

Yeah going most probably for the asw608 although I want to take the 610 . do you think it will make a big difference in such a small room ? Reminding you it is 12 by 11 ft fully with full acoustics walls and ceiling .

Thanks for being of so much help :) .. The dealer stopped SVS cause of issues of defective and faulty models and that it would affect his companies image who also dealers with systems such as steinway lyngdorf . do be frank I apologize for my lack of discriptive ness that you requiered

I suggest you email SVS to find out what the issues were. As far as I can tell SVS is known for their quality and reliability. I have 5 subs including 2 SVS ones, one is over 10 years old and gets used almost every day. If you email them about your situation they may let you buy direct from them. For the size of your room, and since you like punchy bass, you really can't go wrong with their sealed models such as the SB1000. You may also consider one of this VTF-2 MK4 Subwoofer that apparently can also be run in sealed mode. At 64 lbs it is more costly to ship but for $599 even with shipping you should still be able to stay within your budget.

Priced at 500 UK pounds (not sure where you are), same as the SVS SB1000, seems like a great choice. If you have the 5008, be sure to run Audyssey if you want cleaner bass.
