$15000 budget for 7 speakers and separates

I've posted couple of threads here in forums with my issue with the existing system.

I have YAMAHA CX-A5000 processor, YAMAHA MX-A5000 amp, 2x YAMAHA SOAVO-1 towers, YAMAHA SOAVO-900C center, 4x YAMAHA SOAVO-900m surrounds, 2x YAMAHA SOAVO-900sw subs.

After few couple of visits from YAMAHA dealer's technicians, the have decided to offer me a full refund and I have accepted it. So, I'm going to return the system now.

I just ordered x2 subs from SVS: PB13.

I'm in the market to buy separates + 7 speakers. My budget for these is $ 15,000

I want a combination that is fully compatible. My main use is 80% movies and 20% music. I have the XLRs and speaker cables though.

What you guys suggest?

Nice choice of subs....

I would start with electronics..
outlaw 7x200 $1900 on sale rite now... https://www.outlawaudio.com/products/7700.html or the 7x300 for $2600 or 7 2200 mono blocks for a little over $1800
Emotiva xpa5 and xpa 2 gives you more power for your front left and right with 5x200 for the rest at around the same price as the 7700
or this guy http://www.classicaudioparts.com/index.php/amplifiers/ati-at2007-seven-channel-x-200-watt-amplifier-b-stock-120-v.html

for a pre I would use the http://www.accessories4less.com/make-a-store/item/marav7701/marantz-av7701-7.2-4k-3d-av-preamp/processor-networking/1.html I just like that preamp ever since I first played with it... $1100

Then for speakers, at that price you would have to be crazy to take anyones advice with out demoing {IN HOME} after all your electronics were setup...

But here are some suggestions..
http://www.musicdirect.com/p-216748-wharfedale-jade-5-tower-speakers-black-oak-photo-shoot.aspx
http://www.musicdirect.com/p-216766-wharfedale-jade-c2-center-channel-speaker-black-photo-shoot.aspx
http://www.musicdirect.com/p-216776-wharfedale-jade-sr-surround-speakers-black-oak-photo-shoot.aspx
http://www.musicdirect.com/p-241127-wharfedale-jade-1-bookshelf-speakers-black-oak-demo.aspx
http://www.musicdirect.com/p-216787-wharfedale-table-stand-for-jade-c1-c2-photo-shoot.aspx

That would be one heck of a 7.2 system!!!! I own the jade 5's they would make a great HT setup, I have heard the 5. system with jade 1's for surrounds, but you would run the jade 1's for rears, and the bi poles for surrounds, it would be sick, and that is a heck of a bargain at them prices...

That would be around $8600 with the preamp and the outlaw 7700... leaving plenty for shipping..

You need to get ears on as much as possible. What have you listened to prior that you liked?

Also you need to figure out if you have electrical issues in your home. If I remember correct you had a couple of different products in your house that exhibited the same behavior. I would figure that out before spending any money. That is the first time I have ever heard of someone getting a complete refund on that type of gear. It sounds a little like they were cutting their loses to you.

Yeah, I'm a little reticent to recommend anything because the same thing could still happen with any new speaker system. :D

I've had a lot of speakers in my house hooked up to just Denon AVRs. And the Denon AVR has never had any issues.

I've never faced any electrical issue. By the way, our current here is 220v.

I think it's the speakers. Even the tech guys are suspecting its a speaker issue

What are the prices like there compared to the US?

The Cremona combined with the Toy center and surrounds should be just under 8k from Sonus Faber. I've always found the very pleasing with most all music. If your looking for extreme spl output I'd look at the Thx ultra series from klipsch or jamo. Another good line are XTZ speakers, which have a preview in the loudspeaker forum.

If its the speakers, why trade in the prepro and power amp?

I didn't want to risk anything. I was insisting either Yahama tech fixes the issue or full return. They took the easy way out I guess.

Well, for amps, I definitely trust ATI amps or one of their 200WPC & 300WPC OEMs (Outlaw Audio, Mark Levinson, Lexicon, Cary Audio, Theta Digital, B&K, JBL Synthesis). Even ATI's 60WPC amps are stable down to 1 ohms (measured by The Audio Critic). So their 200WPC & 300WPC amps are monsters. And they are super clean - SNR 120dB, Crosstalk -100dB 20Hz-20kHz, etc.

The (ATI-made) Outlaw Audio 200WPC x 7Ch FULLY BALANCED amp - Model 7700 - is on sale for $1900 (already mentioned by ImcLoud).

For processor/AVR, I prefer Denon/Marantz for Audyssey XT32 dual sub EQ + Dynamic EQ because I use DEQ every day. Denon will be coming out with their new models soon like the X4100, which should have an MSRP of about $1,200.

For speakers, there are many brands that sound great. Personally, I recommend RBH.

SX-8300/R (Reference) for Front Left & Right = $5,900 per pair MSRP
SX-661C/R (Reference) for Center = $1,350 each MSRP
SX-61 (standard) for Surrounds $600 each x 4 = $2,400 MSRP

Total = $9,650 MSRP, but your dealer could probably give you some discounts for buying the whole 7 speakers and maybe the AVR too.

Well if its the speakers how can Yamaha be responsible for them? Actually Yamaha took the hard way out of refunding you your money in full for used products trying to play defective speakers. Other manufacturers wouldn't have been so charitable.
