Transformers "Age Of Extinction"

I went to the theater to watch this one in 3D and I think this movie is dumb. Far too much combat and not enough story. The 3D effects were generally good but I remember seeing some weak moments in the flick. It would be a good BluRay to have if your primary goal is to show off the sound part of your HT system. I think I will pass on this one when it comes out on BluRay .

I'm not a fan of those movies, so they will never be in my collection. I may peep it if it ever gets on Netflix.

I love special affects as much as the next guy. Maybe not as much as you Gene . There was no continuity between this one and the last three which I enjoyed.

I liked the first three but this is just too much. Time was dragging during the fight scenes.

I agree I liked elements of the first 3 except the stupid stereotypical character crap and not being able to distinguish the robots during action scenes b/c they all looked the same. Don't expect much of a plot from Michael Bay or JJ Abrams. Transformers Prime on the Hub is a much better version of Transformers than any of the Bay films IMO.

I rented and enjoyed the first three on DVD, more for the comedy aspects, than anything else. As with all Michael Bay movies, the SFX were good and the sound was loud but, all in all, I laughed a lot. I hope that was his intention...

I did recenty pick up the first three on Blu-Ray for $15 on Amazon and, well, the picture is better and the sound is louder than on the DVD's.

Wifey actually wants to see this one in the thratres. What one does for love...

(are we really analyzing a movie based on a childs toy from the 80's? This civilization is doomed, I tell ya.)

Well, I'll see this movie sooner or later. At least now I will have negative expectation.

I just want to see the hilarious Dinobots anyway - "Me, Grimlock smash!".

This movie is an excellent candidate for Dolby ATMOS. Screw the plot and character development, just give me special effects and cool surrounds.

OK, we wentto see it today at the matinee price. It wasn't as bad as I feared. It was actually fun. I didn't miss Shia leBluff at all and the new girl they got to fill Megan Fox's place is cute and does an admirable job of filling her Daisy Dukes.

But, is was way too looooooooooooooooong.

And you know they left the door wide open for more sequels.

This movie is, by far, the worst movie out of the series. It lives on one liners, cheesy dialogue and poorly designed battle scenes. Case in point, one of the final battle scenes where Marky Mark taking on the evil boss by himself with one alien sword gun. It was so funny I was waiting for TED to pop up with Flash Gorden.... it was just that bad.

But Michael Bay is right, no matter how bad the movie and all the complaints, people will pay to see it. Yes the 3D is good, the female lead is HAWWWT and the special effects were excellent. This movie could have had no dialogue and you wouldn't have missed much.

I also think they have already confirmed 3-4 more movies so get ready for more of the same..
