Yes, that was embarrassing. Good for Costa Rica. They fully deserved both of their wins so far.

They had it. They had it there for the taking and at the 94:36 mark, with less than 30 seconds to go, everything turned to mush. Another exciting game. USA soccer has finally arrived on the world stage and should be very proud of themselves. Renaldo, who up to the winning assist played like crap, went from goat to hero, with his deft pass to Nani to tie the score. Anybody catch on in the post-game interview with Coach (Klinsman) his accusation that the German team was getting preferential treatment over the USA, over the venue locations of their matches, in regards to the question of the weather and it's impact on the players. :D

Ugh.

Renaldo. Even half-crippled he still makes a difference. Damn great player.

We'll take the point, though.

Costa Rica deserved the win; Italy was fortunate the punishment wasn't worst. Italy often squeaks by in the early rounds and then really come alive in later rounds.

and germany draws level with ghana!!!!!!!!! :D
Yeah, I was not impressed with Germany's mistake costing them their 2nd goal. They didn't show up to the game properly prepared .. somehow thinking it was going to be an easy win. Hopefully this drives the lesson home.

Ghana are a good team. On paper they are second strongest in the group. US winning against them was a surprise result if you ask people that follow soccer.

It's a shame what happened at last night's match. Bradley cost US the 2 points.

It's the second game syndrome, plus Germany played conservative because they didn't really need to risk losing because even a draw suited them just fine after winning the first match by a big margin.

Italy out. That's a bummer.

And Suarez? Jeepers...

He's made a real mess of things for himself, and others. It seems to me there's a lot at stake dependent on how FIFA handles this. And I ain't just referring to the World Cup.

Due to his previous escapades we've jokingly referred to him as "Chompers." Seems less funny now.

Good result! Most excellent...

Question, though. Is Bradley capable of making a pass that doesn't go BEHIND his advancing team mate? Heavy legs today indeed.

Yeah he was very bad today. Gave away possession too many times which thankfully we weren't punished for.
In the next round we play either Belgium or Algeria. It is very doable.

The bad part of this ^ is that Bradley actually played 'better' today than the last two games. Could the U.S. have found a more lazy, disinterested midfielder?
