I have too many boxes. In the garage, in the spare room, in the closets. Time to head back to the attic and see what I can move up in there.

Boxes. First they're in the garage... then they start taking over the closets... then rooms.... then.... THE HOUSE. *deep evil laugh*

So true. :) Except, mine go in the opposite order most of the time.

Too bad Alex doesn't live closer. I wouldn't have half as many things. :D

I took two large boxes out of the attic so far (don't have many left - the storage space up there is pretty small). A couple of weeks ago, I took out a box for a Hoover FloorMate that I gave away last year. Today, I took out boxes for a Hoover SpinScrub and Hoover vacuum that I also gave away. Now I'm just deciding if I recycle the Dyson vacuum box that's left up there...but I still have that vacuum.

Heh, try and get rid of stuff.

Couple tricks and tips:
* Have a box around that I use to put stuff that "I'm not sure if I'll need" ... once it's full I write the date on it. If in one year, I don't open it searching for something, it gets tossed.
* Clean a drawer per day/week/etc. - lots of people do spring cleanings and stuff, I find continual, small, increments to work better for me.
* Churches take clothing, dump that **** in garbage bags. If you haven't worn it in 6 months, its time for it to go.
* eBay stuff as time permits.
* Disconnect your printer (maybe a little on the radical side, but, damn does it help! I sign stuff using a Wacom tablet, and stay mostly paperless).

Oh, and toss the vacuum box!!!!

Man, I have stuff from when I was a kid that I'll still end up looking for and using...even after a decade or more. So, the "throw it out after X months" rule doesn't work well for me.

I also still have clothes from 15+ years ago that I still wear. Shocking that I'm not more popular with the ladies...

I'm back online because, as I was raising a box into the attic and walking up the ladder, I cracked my head and cut it open...again. I can't believe how often I do that, and it bothers the living s**t out of me. I need to order a hard hat just to work around the house.

I wear a black t-shirt and jeans...just about every day. Doesn't really go out of style, and easy to match. haha.

I have a Vitamix on the way. Better go get some stuff to see how well it can work. I'm looking forward to coring some apples and seeing how the juice turns out - I really like the taste of apple juice from my juicers, but I hate that the pulp is all wasted...and, no, I'm not going to incorporate the pulp into apple muffins or whatnot. :D

Sounds great!

Well, plus you'll be looking for some extra cash once you realize that you got too big of an apartment. :p
You shut your mouth before she sees that and I get the whole rant ask over again :p

Btw...what happened with the police?
Just got a ticket for something stupid that would have been a warning if it wasn't the end of the month. My streak of negative experiences with cops continues

I hate to be the one to re-visit this.
You're just going to have to start wearing pants.:D

Did the cop hit on your girlfriend, by any chance?

Moved some boxes to the attic (and cut open scalp...yea), moved some other boxes into the garage, took Niki to the park, vacuumed, steam cleaned the tile, used magic eraser on some of the grout (got too tired to do it all), did a small workout...my first in a while, played a game of StarCraft II, and am now partaking of some La Fin du Monde.

I have a bit more cleaning to do tonight, but it can wait a little bit.

Trying to figure out moving costs is a real b!tch. So far I've got ~$6-700 for a uhaul, which I'm not 100% sure is going to big enough to fit all of our stuff in the first place. Gonna get a pods quote, but I'm guessing it'll be astronomical compared to the uhaul.
