I would be interested in one or both Funks if you decide to sell.
I can sell you both of my Funk 18.0 TSADv1 passive subs. I can send you pictures of them in a week (going on vacation). PM me with your email and/or cell phone.

I have driven them with my ATI AT3002 300WPC amp. But it is currently turned off since my five RBH SX-1010N subs have more bass than I will ever need.

Just been too lazy selling them. They would have been gone on eBay by now if I were like back in the days. :D

If you want to know my overall goal, it is to sell EVERYTHING (including Funk 18.0, Salon2, B&W 802D2, KEF 201/2) and just get the RBH SX-T2 speakers x 5.

We will see. :D
WHAT!!!!!!! only 5 Speakers for you....what are you going to do with all that extra space in your HT/Music Room

I probably have to use AudioGoN, don't I? A lot of those guys are crazy with some money. :)
Well, to be absolutely honest, you'd be better off there, and your asking prices are on the high side of the average range. You can get 50% of MSRP for mint Salon2s and the B&W 802Ds, but for these brands that have a less active resale market, especially the Phil3s and the Orion, you might have to go well under 50% of MSRP to make a sale in a few weeks. I'm not justifying it, I'm just stating an opinion based on years of observation and experience.

Yeah, I know what you're saying. I should have bought them used in the 1st place. I guess when I bought them, for some reasons I thought I would keep them forever. You just never know in life. :D

But, oh, look, here is a pair of B&W 802D2 for $11,200 (MSRP $15K) on AudiogoN:

I love audiogon

Sold my Paradigms CC-690 Center v.4 f $900, I only paid$1100. Sold my 60v3 Fronts for $900 and I think I paid around $1300 new. They were 4+ years old at the time.

The one thing I always do with my gear is keep all boxes, all manuals & receipts are in sealed plastic bags and keep all the accessories. My gear is pristine and people in Audiogon really like that stuff.

Problem is finding people who are close buy who will pick up, because that stuff is expensive to ship. I was lucky and found a guy who picked up my fronts and met a guy 1/2 way from Illinois and Milwaukee for my center channel.

End of the day, I am surprised you haven't listed on audiogon

I bought a lottery ticket the other day in the hopes I could win and buy ADTG's speakers. I got 0 numbers :(

Someone from Indiana (works for US Post Office :D) said he owns all ATC speakers and wants to buy my ATC SCM7 speakers. So if anyone is interested, please let me know before I agree to sell him these speakers. :D

I get why you're downsizing and going with an all RBH system (I think that's what you said). I'm a little surprised you wouldn't/haven't/aren't interested in that dARTS system that plex mentioned. +- .5 db all the way up to reference levels? Then again, I have no idea what the pricing is on that, but I'm guessing you're in the ballpark with the firesale :D

There was a bidding war? Why would someone pay $550 when your asking price was $500 with shipping included?

I think the dARTS system uses Audyssey Room Correction with the Phase Technology speakers. I think the +/-0.5 dB is per Phase Technology spec. But in real life, I doubt if I can distinguish between +/-0.5dB vs +/-3dB anyway.

Everyone has a preference for something different.

Based on my experience, I don't want to buy anything heavier than 70lbs.

The Funk 18.0 passive sub w/ the box and all total about 110 lbs. I guess the sub itself is about 80lbs and the box (with wood panels) is about 30 lbs.

I don't want to think about shipping the 802D2 and Salon2.

The RBH SX-T2 tower is 132 lbs as a whole 62" tower. But similar to speakers like the Phil3 which come in 2 pieces, the individual 2 cabinets of the SX-T2 weigh only 69 lbs and 63 lbs. :D

My plan is the SX-T2, unless you guys can change my mind, which would be very difficult to do. :D

We'll see what happens AFTER I sell everything. :D

Might have to start a $20K speakers + subs thread. ;)

Hey I'm not trying to convince you of anything ;)

I thought Plex had said that with the DSP software they were capable of replicating that FR response in room. My point isn't about the speakers, it's about the DSP software. That kind of high level processing comes at a premium price if you buy it in a separate box, which is why I'd be curious of your thoughts about it if you put it on your radar and auditioned it.

It does use Audyssey tech, but I doubt it's anything available to the public. Heck, it may even be a step above Audyssey Pro.

It shows we all have our own preference in speakers. What might sound good to the masses might not sound that good to you. RBH, I don't know, not on my list that's for sure. Inwalls I have heard in a few setups, not for me, not even at 80% off. These must be something special.

I am at a point where I am thinking, "I just need some speakers that sound great to me and that's it". Nothing fancy. Nothing expensive. And no keeping up with the Jones. Just me. :D
