I get why you're downsizing and going with an all RBH system (I think that's what you said). I'm a little surprised you wouldn't/haven't/aren't interested in that dARTS system that plex mentioned. +- .5 db all the way up to reference levels? Then again, I have no idea what the pricing is on that, but I'm guessing you're in the ballpark with the firesale
I think the dARTS system uses Audyssey Room Correction with the Phase Technology speakers. I think the +/-0.5 dB is per Phase Technology spec. But in real life, I doubt if I can distinguish between +/-0.5dB vs +/-3dB anyway.
Everyone has a preference for something different.
Based on my experience, I don't want to buy anything heavier than 70lbs.
The Funk 18.0 passive sub w/ the box and all total about 110 lbs. I guess the sub itself is about 80lbs and the box (with wood panels) is about 30 lbs.
I don't want to think about shipping the 802D2 and Salon2.
The RBH SX-T2 tower is 132 lbs as a whole 62" tower. But similar to speakers like the Phil3 which come in 2 pieces, the individual 2 cabinets of the SX-T2 weigh only 69 lbs and 63 lbs.
My plan is the SX-T2, unless you guys can change my mind, which would be very difficult to do.
We'll see what happens AFTER I sell everything.
Might have to start a $20K speakers + subs thread.
